Manchester United 2:2 Steven Gerrard's Villa (Sat 23rd July, 10:45 UK time)

That pitch is a real disaster. I was expecting better quality from the Aussies.

I hope we will return to Japan and face 3 J-League clubs next summer.

Oh good effort Sancho.

Also why did I think Diego Carlos had joined Newcastle, am I just really stupid?

Sancho really deserves a proper right back behind him.

Booing an individual player based on a previous match is pathetic (if your team). Booing a team performance after they all play dog shit is fine. But they're human beings. Booing or whistling someone on your own team is always dumb and ok maybe not fake fan, but shit fan 100

That's probably a better way to put it rather than fake (the fake fan irked me) - everyone is entitled to their opinion on how to support a club they love, and that's completely fine, but calling other fans fake just seems wrong to me.

Either way, I'm confident in Ten Hag, and he's the only manager I actually wanted to take over the club post SAF, let's hope the need to actually boo players is over and they actually start entertaining us!

What I like about United so far is that we are getting players in the box a lot more.

They’re obviously different colours, but very similar on tv.
I don't know. I just woke up and my hazy eyes can still figure out the who's who. Maybe people are just overstating. :boring:

Not flying around the world and just touring Europe would do for me
Good luck finding clubs in the middle of the season in Europe. We used to test ourselves against lower opponents who are in mid-season form in a different time, and that's a better barometer than going after European clubs in the same boat as us.

And by the way, PSG are playing 3 J-League clubs these days.

I feel like there isnt much between these sides quality wise. Their fullbacks might be better, the central defense including keeper and midfield are very even. Our attackers are a bit better.

Thought Gerrard should have done better last season.

Rashford looks very hesitant to run at full speed. He knows the pitch wouldn't hold up if he tried to stop.

More a comment on top football in general, not just United. I fail to see how touring Australia is benefitial for preseason preparation, it also makes integrating new signing during the tour more troublesome, as we're seeing right now

This pitch is fecking horrendous, its really not good enough given all the planning involved. Not great for our preparation at all
