Haven't seen much of him but from your description he sounds like what we need. Whether it's worth giving them Anderson and paying money on top of that is debatable though.
I like the look of him. Seems to have developed into an old school box-to-box midfield player with a style and physique that would really suit the Premier League. I'd like to see more of him to judge whether he's the real deal but from what I've seen I've been impressed.

If Real pay €40m for Witsel after having paid €30m for Coentrao and €40m for Di Maria they might as well buy the whole club.

What does that actually mean in normal English.
It says madrid wont pay more than 38 for modric due to his age (I think). It also says were not willing to meet the buyout clause of 40 mil for witsel and we are offering 33mil.
If we get Witsel I will be over the moon. Kagawa, Witsel, RVP and Powell. Would be amazing.
I'd cream my pants myself I see him becoming a beast in the future. Obviously barring injuries etc. I think 33 mill is a tad steep but judging on current fees being bandied about, its pricey but there would be a rediculous amount of value in it if you could keep him through his peak years and hopefully goes up a level or two playing wise.

Hehe I admit I have gotten a bit cynical when it comes to us and signing a CM.
But honestly I'm not buying into it anymore.
I can see the point but it just gets tedious when it's banded around so often. God knows what some posters will do once we eventually sign one.
The attempts to get him are continuing and the likelihood of him remaining a Benfica player decrease by the day.
