I reckon the Caf has exploded

DIOUF DIOUF DIOUF

Without seeming too over excited, he made positive runs (albeit against a tired and demoralised defence) but also seemed to have decent close control and got himself into good positions, decent shot at the end too.

All in all, I can see him doing well here.

Also controlled the ball nicely on the chest from a hard-ish ball, and tracked back and won the ball twice, though one was given as a foul.

In summary, he does more than Pele ever did.

The ball is blessed now. Anyone touching it will get cured from every illness and cleansed from every sin.

He is now officially more powerful and elite than Manucho ever was....

....and I need to go and change my underwear

Very exciting player, and gives us a whole new vibe in attack but is it due to him being so different to the others? and will he have the touch, consistent finishing ability to match his movement off the ball.. lets hope so.

His pace and movement is so promising, he deffo has the physique to play for this club.

When I saw Rooney going off I wanted it to be Diouf. Then I spent the final 15 minutes wanting the ball to go to Diouf. Imagining just what the reaction would be on this place if he scored. Imagine no longer, the one is here, and he has bought salvation.

Or possibly goals.

Commentator mentioned him having to live up to the number on his back.

He did a backflip after scoring. Diouf > Tevez :D

 I was exactly the same!!

All jokes aside. He did play very well in the 20 minutes we had.

Showed a lot of energy around the field. Met Valencia's cross with enthusiasm albeit a bit unlucky with the head down.

Took his header well.

Could have had a second, but kudos to him for making the angle and taking it on.

I think he'll do well here.

You're right, some people here have a tendency to pass judgement on players without seeing them once, first when he was signed he was dubbed the "Next Manucho" and then after his debut at Birmingham(which were in difficult circumstances) he was once again written off by some people here.

The lad showed that he offers something different from all of our strikers and he must have been showing his talent in the training as-well as Fergie has already praised him twice for his training effort.

Mame Biram Woooaaaa
Mame Biram Woooaaaa
When he scored I came
He puts Pele to shame

(To the tune of Nemanja Woooaaa)

He played well when he came on today, did the Norwegian Manucho (high praise, I know). He was lively, hassled defenders a bit and grabbed an opportunistic goal. It's too early for any major conclusions, but it was a promising cameo from the lad.
