I guess a little thank you is in place.

People will always have different opinions but looking at the track record and what we already knew in terms of foundations for every club he's been managing it speaks for itself.

Blind, Romero, Martial, Rashford, Darmian, Herrera - all his signings and all playing a part in this title. Not bad influence on a team for a guy who left over a year ago.

And not to forget - congratulations to everyone! We're the champions of europe!!!

You deserve a ban!! :mad::mad:

You really are a piece of work some times???

I agree. A thanks is in order for Van Gaal. Ajax's performance tonight was inspired by the insipid football you had us playing and a big reason why we won tonight. It was easy for us in the end.

Mods have a question to answer as to why he hasn't been banned yet, his only aim is to WUM. He couldn't even resist on a night like this. Pathetic man.
Fully agree. I've seen people banned for less in my years.

His signings really stepped up tonight. Thanks for the FA Cup Van Gaal. Happy Retirement!
Wow im in a great mood tonight considering how much i hated his brand of football.

Marouane Fellaini was MOTM, so I'm guessing you'll be thanking David Moyes next

Why should this guy get banned?

I'm not a wum and I believe in this though I'm not shouting about it until the inevitable European dominance happens.

Guess I should have expected it though. Just like his other clubs, there are fans and there are those who hate him. No difference here.

The fact is United will be the biggest club in the world in the next few years just like every other club that Lvg left.

I'd like to take it step further
When anyone who watched even a minute of LVG's Manchester United achieves a bit of success in their life they owe some gratitude to LVG. His team's display of his foundations and philosophy serves to be a great life lesson which can be applied everywhere.

Our football had more in common with Moyes than LVG tonight.

It was LVG's master plan to finish 5th, so we qualified for this competition, instead of finishing top 4 in the league then 2nd or 4th in our CL group :smirk:

If people hate this thread why are they in it?

Why don't you let the people who believe in this stuff talk in here? No one is bothering anybody?!

cause this is a forum. You know... a place where people come and discuss their opinions.

Which is why we came to this thread and discussed our opinions.

Well it's not much of a discussion - just people laughing and calling posters idiots for something there is no force in.

A very few fans maybe 10% will believe in this & the rest of the 90 will just simply won't give us a place to talk about these things in peace.

I'm just sticking up for the guy who is accused of being a wum.

This thread

More like a legacy I would be speaking more of a handicap lol

You will learn soon that the only reason the poster who bumped this thread did so is become he is a WUM, a constant one at that and it's getting fecking tedious.

But I'm not a wum.

If he was a wum - he could do something better or more painful than do or post something that some fans and professional footballers believe in surely?

Poets don't win trophies.

No you're not. The only person people are having a go at in this thread is the WUM. Different opinions are not an issue.

I just want to say thanks for not letting yourself being rolled over by the bullies. Like you said; this guy is always going to be controversial. Only a couple of years down the line things will really be possible to see. I'm ready to go a long way to really see what's waiting around the corner. I'm not going to judge anyone. People have their right to believe whatever they want.

That's alright - I don't know what you did before and all but that's not my concern. I'd just like to have a place I can talk about my opinion before the inevitable 90% who don't agree bombard us with laughter.

Hope you enjoyed the game and I thought Jose and the team did well.

WTF - The most boring inept football I have seen in my lifetime was coached by this guy, foundations my arse..

I think I layed the foundations for every successful team this planet has ever seen...by not managing any of them.

Now award me post of the year, lock this thread and ban Successful

He did lay the foundations. If Ajax didn't play like us of last season today, they might've had a chance.

I had a lot of people turning against me after starting this thread. However, a lot of people PM to let me know I'm not alone. They know that airing the wrong opinion can lead to a lot of heckling and freezing out. I'm ready to stay here in the cold if it means standing up for something you believe in.

Yes, it was a fantastic game and the season ended well. Mourinho is really the one to take us forward. I only hope I get a reason to come back to this thread again may it be a trophy or player development. Until then I think we should call it a day here and celebrate the win. Cheers!

Why wait only for United to win something in order for giving credit to LVG? Does he not share responsibility for the bad results or underwhelming performances?

Cheers to you as well brother! What I will say is Mourinho is an intelligent man. He has taken the plus points of LvG's game and added his own. So the major credit goes to José but LvG's contribution is appreciated (by me at least).

GGMU. Now let's get back where we belong!

 Take a bow lad. You've taken wumming to a whole new level.

I would not allow Mourinho's achievement to be credited, even partially, to that sleeping pill Van Gaal

@Successful

Listen man, do yourself a favour and don't just post here when we win things. Anybody who knows what LVG has done knows that not only success is around the corner but complete world dominance. People will assume that we are taking away things from Jose when it simply is not true.

I can't wait for our club to be right at the top - utilising the importance of things like player positioning, possesion and so on.

Lvg's tactics are trash - but he has bought back the importance in this little intricacies that is genuinely the difference between the big clubs and the best and I can't wait for Jose to utilise it.

See, there will always be people who assume that possesion football is just knocking the ball around the back line. What people don't see is that since we can do that - Jose can utilise that to his wishes.

If he wants the CB to knock the ball from the back line to the target man - it requires a full team meshed in understanding of the right positioning, possesion and the oppurtunity to do so successfully. The guy who's tactics will win us titles is at the hot seat now but the man who forced us to play a basic possession and positioning game has long gone.( the same manager who was more happy when we didn't score because we held possession

I still remember to this day the day we beat city under Lvg and Neville on the live commentary himself said that he was starting to see the resemblance between us and bayern and barca. That just made me

Let's not get ahead of ourselves either - we won the europa league today but we have many more challenges to come. Then when we inevitably start winning UCL finals, people can laugh all they want at the fact that after Lvg - top managers have won some serious silverware consistently at 3 clubs IN A ROW. Don't think we would look as ridiculous then

Upon his sacking - “I believe the foundations are firmly in place to enable the club to move forward and achieve even greater success.

“I hope winning the FA Cup will give the club a platform to build upon next season to restore the success that this passionate set of fans desire.

What guy says that when they are sacked :wenger:
He was clearly hired to build something otherwise it wouldn't even remotely make sense!

That's not how it works :nono: LVG is only responsible when we win, when we lose it's purely on Jose. Jose has no-one but LVG to thank, even though Jose has spent all season trying to rid the players of LVG's influence and plays a completely different brand of football to LVG.

He also has LVG to thank for spending over a 100m on for the most part, absolute dross. Depay, Schnederlin etc. Not to add, the signings LVG made, who didn't even perform under him ala Herrera, are thriving under Jose. LVG must have bought Herrera, shackling his play style and benching him, just so he's ready for when Jose came in.
