Feels absurd that one can look at the way we play, the way he talks in press conferences, the absurd subs and think that him staying all hinges just on the fact that he gets us top 4. It seems like so bad planning, considering the strengthening of the league in the new coaches coming in. He has shown time and time again that he is the wrong man to carry us forward.

It feels very two-sided; the fact that Woodward said in his summer interview that he wanted to "stop the best players going to Spain", and a season later we shop off our marquee signing. And the next season rely on youngsters, which seemed to be LvG's plan, in all fairness. But I don't see the red line here. It's just a terrible mess.

This whole saga looks to be turning into an utter utter shambles.

LVG should've be shown the door as soon as possible, and he should take the snake oil salesmen with him. We're being shown up to be totally out of our depth in footballing matters.

If it stays like this, he'll be gone at the end of the season IMO. If we win tonight and then beat Bournemouth and win the FA Cup, I think he'll stay.

It is laughable that he is still our manager. I love this club but we are one of the worst teams to watch in the entire league. We are a club drifting down, down, down and it doesn't seem like the owners or board know how to stop that.

Biggest game of the season and we perform like this?? Disgusting

He needs to go

Can't believe anyone including myself thought we'd finish 4th with two games left. If he is here for another season we'll get nowhere. We might end up finishing 6th.

I don't think I can stand another season of this tumescent, pointless shit. he has to go after this season.

Enough is enough. No matter what happens in the remainder of this season, he has to go. This first half against West Ham was atrocious. We are going backwards at this stage.

Must be the only team that has no aerial threat up front but do nothing except attack down the things.
Do we ever play through the middle anymore...

LVG giving Woodward every legitimate reason to sack him like City gave us to finish 4th yet neither will happen.

I said it in the match day thread and i'll say it here. Does anyone remember when we'd put in rubbish first half performances and a second team would come out in the second half?

Under LvG its the same shit, half after half... Hes a fraud

It was always going to be difficult. We will try our best but you the (media) will always make these things up and they are not always true.

Please for the love of God, get shut of this tool !!

He manages to do it the other way around a lot of the time to be fair to him. A bit shit in the first half, very shit in the second. So he's clearly got something in his locker. It's not something you'd want, but it's something.

Remember when he cleared out the 'deadwood' and replaced them with worse players? Good times.

This could have been a proper battering job from West Ham. The way we played in the first 25 minutes, we could have easily be 3 or 4 down. If we get something out of this game, people cant forget just how shite we were for a portion of this half. They cut us open several times.

He needs to go.

All of our creative players and midfielders have gone to crap under him.

He's put together a team that'd probably be incredible in some sh!t league like Holland, but over here we look ill equipped to deal with even the most average scenarios like a high ball coming in.

Leaving a foundation :lol::lol:.

One of many games where our players can't pass a simple frigging ball to one another. He's all possession philosophy and he can't coach them to do it.

The man is a complete and utter has been and even when he was a someone I think he's has some insane luck along the way.

It's scary to think that he's spent around 200 million not improving the team one ounce, arguably he's made it even worse. Yet he still tries to convince us that he needs plenty of new players before we can reasonably expect any better from the team. It really irks me that no journalist has dared to confront him with that fact yet.

Yet on the flip side, if they hadn't such an incredibly lucky deflection and spin for that first goal we could still just about be level!

In hindsight, should have rested Carrick against Norwich and played him in the tougher game.

Now now, maybe your expectations are too high.

It's not like a team of no marks, a fast runner and an admittedly quality player have won the league for a club who'd never won it or anything...

Would he make any real odds tonight?

Fellaini was needed tonight. It's worrying how ill equipped in the air we are. How can we have only one real player who can head it? Mourinho's first job is surely bringing in a centre back and right back who can resolve that.

Can see Mourinho being happy with Darmian, personally.

How we can justify keeping this emotionless fraud of a man at the helm for another season is really beyond my comprehension. It's clear that he's completely clueless about how to change things in a match like tonight (and many other nights), he sits there looking completely lost and completely resigned to what is going on. The players don't seem to have any fire in them but really, everything comes from the manager and looking at him, can you blame them? They know that he's got no ideas on how to turn it around, they see that he's not even fired up for the match.

If I were Renato Sanches, I'd have bitten Bayern's hands off at any reasonable offer, rather than join this farce. It's ok thinking "One more season and he's gone" but if he's staying then can you really not see them going ahead with the Giggs 'plan' afterwards?
