Why keep a manager that inspires such tepid and awful performances? This team needs an injection of hope - Jesus, even of it was someone like Gary Neville to come in and ask them to show what they've got for the new manager when they play with freedom and expression. Nothing to lose.
It's too late for that mate. Things have gone too far this season and the players are not going to get that belief back just like that.
Plus what's the point of Ryan being interim? It's obvious what he's doing behind the scenes is not working. I'm sceptical about LVG not listening to him - I think he does do that sometimes. I find it hard to believe that LVG trusted Mourinho to take training sessions and manage some games when they worked together, yet wouldn't extend the same to Giggs who he's ostensibly grooming to take over? I could be wrong but it doesn't make sense to me that he would ignore his advice at all times. Therefore I have to say they are both failing and so what's the point of replacing like for like at this moment? Few games left now - just get rid at the end of the season.

People talked about how great he was at getting rid of the deadwood but under his management, we now now have so few players capable of anything out of the ordinary - pretty much every time a player gets the ball, you know what they are going to do with it, which makes it so easy for the opposition. 39 goals in 32 games apparently and that's just criminal.

I'm not saying there wasn't a reason to sell but surely the likes of Nani, Van Persie, Hernanez and Evans would have improved that team/squad today - starting the season with a squad with Mata as the first-choice RW and Daley Blind CB, with no proven striker after Rooney? Just woeful management.
We really don't. The plan is get it to Martial and hope for the best. Mata will turn around and pass it backwards, Lingard will run up a blind alley, Rashford will chase a ball into a channel, once every 5 games a fullback might provide an overlap and erm... thats it, that's our attack.

I despaired when i was reading posts like 'best transfer window ever' and the like last summer. It was so obvious back in August we were short in attack, it's no coincidence we can barely must a shot never mind score goals. The ridiculous thing is he's now saying it himself - that we need more fast, creative players. Why the hell did you sell the likes of Nani, Zaha, Welbeck for next to nothing then you idiot?

Yeah, hopefully, Chelsea could something from that game. And City may advance to the CL semifinals which could be a good thing for us.
But with us playing like this, it wouldn't matter.
And I agree, even if, by some miracle, we end up in the 4th place, he should go.

Anyone notice how the youngster are disappearing?
McNair, CBJ, Januzaj, Pereira, Varela, Riley, Memphis. I believe it's curtains Rashford and TFM.
If anything rashford has been overused imo

I don't think He should have started so many games in a row

The januzaj situation is very concerning

Pereira no idea

I thought Varela and cbj were injured?

I didn't suggest Giggs as I think he's to blame as much as Van Gaal. And I'm talking about next year really - a couple of months of enjoying training or whatever could make a huge difference to their thought processes over the summer and the condition/attitude that the they come back with.

Maybe pointless but 4th place is gone, nothing to lose and no point sticking with a 'dead man' IMO.

Van Gaal reminds me of football manager when you take over a team and play players out of position to deliberately feck them up

Oh I didn't realise what you were trying to say, but not sure whose available other than Giggs tbh. To give it to Neville or such would cause another headache with class of 92 making noises in the press through their mates that we need to give Gary a chance and such. Just better this way I think, to finish the season with VG, but probably let him and players know it's his last season in charge. Maybe that might perk up some of the players?:D

He seemed happy that we gave Spurs a game until we conceded a goal.

FFS, gave them a game? Created one shot on target. gtfo with that BS.

David Luis may have been a Playstation footballer but under Van Gaal, it's even worse and more like Megadrive football - only 8 direction to go with no analog movement or nuance at all.

Hasn't Rafael been shite in France?
Its rather the style of play thats of primary concern. Any top teams needs FBs who are better in attack than defence IMO, while being decent defensively

The feeling of hopelessness is overwhelming. Everything has been repeated multiple times throughout the season, but I really can't comprehend how he's still our manager. He's useless in terms of tactics, playing style, man management, transfer strategy and has assembled a squad that's at an Europa League level. I guess we have the spineless cnut Woodward to thank.

Hard to know what to say now that already hasn't been said, it's just a horrible feeling to have such apathy towards United right now, but my enthusiasm has been totally drained.

But if they won't sack him what can he do? I wouldn't walk away from my last big pay day either, it's really not Louis's fault anymore.

If nothing else, his success rate in the transfer market should see him fired. Most of the players he bought last summer have been so underwhelming.

Please, please, please! Just either sack him or let him walk. Either way, let's just be rid of him. He's a fecking joke.

Not long now.
50-50 on Wednesday, win the next 2, then probably lose to Leicester to see them win the title at our place, just when we become in sight of 4th again!
And on it goes!

Since Fournier sacking everyone have been a lot better Rafael included.
Cheers! Haven't kept up with France the last few months.

I'd take good at anything and being used in a coherent system right now. FFS, LvG'd probably play Rafael on the left wing now.

Now that Vangle's on his way home in a bus, it seems fitting that Antiques Roadshow is on soon.

The 2nd half performance was absolutely shambolic. fecking Spurs outclassed us, what the feck is going on. Sack this useless twat.

Rafael, if he was somehow fit going into the Spurs game, would be out for the rest of the season with the numb arse he got from sitting on the coach in traffic for 2 hours.
