It'll be a 4 year contract with an option to extend for another year, we seem to like that one.Yep, just got to decide whether that contract for Giggs is a 5 or 6 year one.

Not true at all.People act as if our problems are over once we sack LVG.
He's going nowhere. If this isn't enough to move him on then he will see out his deal.
Because he has failed to grasp what it takes in the PLNot only that but I think he's mystified that his usual methods haven't worked. He's almost as exasperated as us.
How many of the first 11, not the squad, were well over 30? How many young players were challenging for the first 11?like champions? wait we won it in a trot. not for nothing there have been 3 summer windows and almost 3 winter windows in which to get it done and two mgrs failed to get close to good football let alone a championship. give it up .
It's like changing your doctor only when you're absolutely sure you're dead. We'll get rid when it's clear we won't make the top 4.

Why don't you try and understand the point being made. The team were rightly champions, that does not mean the squad was balanced in age or quality. Maybe even look at the thread for that year and see the negative comments on the caf about the squad or individual players like Evra, Nani, Cleverley, Valencia, Young and so on.

A better man? Wtf?Van Gaal is much better manager and a much better man than David Moyes. That shouldn't even be questioned.
But alas, he has got it very wrong during his reign at United and he can't seemingly turn it around. It's a shame its his last job but we can't be sympathetic.
A better man? Wtf?
Well exactly, hence my surprise at him being referred to as a 'much better man' than Moyes, whose worst crime was not being good enough for United.A lot of people that have worked with LVG have found him a detestable person and he's made a lot of enemies along the way.
He must have meant Giggs.A better man? Wtf?
A better man? Wtf?
Give it Joyceh till the end of the season [/tate]Give Warren Joyce the job till the end of the season, our U21s are so much more entertaining than our first team.
How has LVG's under achievement got anything to do with the state Fergie left us in.so he left as champion winning mgr and a side that needed to be added to. and after 3 seasons we are less balanced than when he left. that is the truth. not that the squad was complete shit. the best players we have are from fergie's time. truth. or facht.
Just shows what I know, could have sworn Vidic, Giggs and RVP were on that list.iirc, only Carrick, Ferdinand and Evra. Evans was the most used CB, Cleverley played more than Scholes, Van Persie was 30.
It's like changing your doctor only when you're absolutely sure you're dead.
How has LVG's under achievement got anything to do with the state Fergie left us in.
The point you made is that Fergie left us as champions and therefore by your logic we were left in apparently a perfect state. I disagree with that view, rightly or wrongly.
We had already seen the likes of Rio, Evansand Evra performances drop, Vidic and Rafael were injury prone. Our midfield comprised mainly of Carrick, Giggs, Scholes and the likes of Cleverley or Valencia. Sometimes even Rooney. The attack had Young, Valencia, Nani all players who got ripped to pieces by the caf.
So maybe you are in the minority in thinking the state of the squad was good.
Wait, so we have 4 days before a tough game and our players have had 2 days off?
I'm all for letting players rest so they can play on Fifa for most of the day, but wouldn't it be reasonable to perhaps squeeze in 3 hours of video analysis.
Either Ducker has been fed a little lie, or the club is a complete fecking wreck.
Because the only option right now is Giggs. If reports are to be believed (Ducker Times), then apparently Ed talked LvG out of quitting twice at over the Christmas period? Why in heck would he do that?

For someone who is supposed to be good at business planning, he really is terrible at contingency planning. I get the impression that when LVG came on board, they left the football decisions completely to him, and thought that he couldn't fail at all. We're going to be in a horrible position come next year if Woodward doesn't make a decision soon. There is only one decision to take about LVG, but there are multiple in relation to how this club is ran. He seems utterly clueless in that respect to me. Money in long term, and loss of revenue short term seems to be the only thing he considers. If reports are to be believed (Ducker Times), then apparently Ed talked LvG out of quitting twice at over the Christmas period? Why in heck would he do that?
The fact he is going to Holland just for he's daughters birthday whilst we are in a crisis speaks volumes about he's commitment for me.

Which goes back to my first comment that people under estimated the amount of rebuilding that was needed after Fergie. It wasn't just first team players, it was squad players as well.and a side that needed to be added to - did you miss that part , first sentence?
Sure, he is the manager so he's entitled to make some of those decisions, if not most. But long term, there needs to be some sort of planning involved. Our youth setup has fallen apart, we don't seem to scout properly, our approach to transfer negotiation is a joke. These are all factors that directly affect the state of the club, and we've been doing them pretty badly. The entire management structure in the club is a joke. That's absolutely the impression I have too.
completely this. he thought he could change the premier league with his trusted philiosophy that worked when you are in charge of teams that have 5 competitive games a seasonBecause he has failed to grasp what it takes in the PL
How so?Because the only option right now is Giggs.
If I had my job hanging by a thread after disastrous performances which have directly negatively impacted my organization, I would think twice before attending any birthday party.Yeah. What kind of cnut puts family before work.
I used to despise missing United matches. In fact, even when I had to travel or attend to social commitments I used to make sure they didn't clash with the date or time of United matches. Now I really don't mind missing a United match.
This Saturday I had to go out for dinner with my family and I didn't blink an eye. Just checked on the scores and when I came back, turned on the TV to see United losing. I was not surprised or angry or anything else. LVG has made me dispassionate towards results and performances such as the one against Soton.
I didn't even bother to tune into the highlights/re-telecast of the match which they show today. Amazing what that Dutch has done to what used to be a great passion for me.
I'd wager my house that if mourinho had taken over rather than Moyes, he would gave won the league that season without any investmentWhich goes back to my first comment that people under estimated the amount of rebuilding that was needed after Fergie. I'm not having that rebuilding can cost us nearly £300m and still be nowhere near good enough.Which goes back to my first comment that people under estimated the amount of rebuilding that was needed after Fergie. It wasn't just first team players, it was squad players as well.
