Top top bloke, great family man and a truly inspirational leader of the people, we could certainly do worse. Remember seeing that classic Malcolm McDowell film dedicated to him, never saw the last 15 minutes though, I presume he went on to have a long, successful and illustrious reign. CaligulIN.

at least he had Fun before he went eh? :)

I don't know where is he going to fluke the next points from.

He will get points vs Arsenal and Chelsea. He does well against big teams.

And to just think we were one botched fax from being significantly further down the table had we lost De Gea.
Imagine having lost De Gea and not having signed Martial in time on transfer deadline day. The footballing side of the club is run shambolically.

We know what the status quo will bring, increasingly diminishing returns. Giggs might at least benefit from a psychological lift among the players, as simply adopting a more hands-off approach should produce some degree of improvement. Get Queirozn or Meulensteen to come back and give him a hand.

Harry Redknapp would be better than LVG at this point.

Navas is pretty good, so we might have been okay.

I got called a simpleton for saying after the Liverpool game that big Sam and pulis would do a better job, I'm positive just getting rid of LVB would improve our players passion and overall morale and confidence.

He gets a somewhat fortunate unbeaten run of results and then decides to mix it up with an already loathed formation. It defies belief that he thought that was the right move, it's not even like it was forced on him (four of the back five finished the last match as a back four).

We looked so lost as to how to get the ball into the final third, nothing new in itself, but we couldn't even seem to get it there in the incredibly slow, counter-productive way that we usually master.

When I originally answered the poll (it feels like months ago) I was all for letting him see out the season on the basis that the players would at least be gaining insight and experience in a different tactical system and the team would likely limp to CL qualification. Now I am increasingly struggling to see the tactical plan in operation (unless the plan is to disorientate ourselves to the point it confuses the opposition in to submission) and we are routinely being out-played by, what should be, inferior teams.

He has to go, I can't see any merit or justification for keeping him from a footballing perspective and I am known for my patience.

I'd bloody take Tim Sherwood at this stage.

It's time, he has to go.

This is just draining, when you have to tailor your expectations in the way that we have had to something is seriously wrong. I hate the mention of money when discussing LVG's time here but for the money spent he should have a better squad. Having to rely on CBJ because of injuries for example.

I agree with your premise, but your example is unfair to say the very least. Just how many players capable of playing left back should a football team's squad have?

I hope he's gone tonight but think we have to wait for the nyse before sacking him.
Lolz.

18 months and millions of £ thrown away

I wouldn't go that far as a more of his buys than not are very sensible. But he has to go as this is terrible to watch! Plus he has got caught with his pants down regarding squad size!

that was basically van gaal's equivalent of 1-2 loss vs tottenham under moyes. any semblance of positive run we managed to put together was nullified by an inept display.

The fans at OT deserve better. I don't, but those who pay good money to watch that trash deserve better.

It was an unfortunate result on our way to the title.
This is my first time being sarcastic and using white text to bail myself out so hopefully this works.

It'll be wait until the NYSE, then wait for Tuesday, then wait for Thursday where Mourinho will be unveiled, then 'training has started' he's got his last chance vs Derby - and then we'll scrape a 1-0 win against them and the cycle starts over.

He knows he off... He just slapped a journo

Edit: Happened at Fridays presser

I guess the other guy who quoted my post saw the white text and deleted his post:lol:

Exactly, they turn up week after week. A lot travel round the world with them and they get a horror show every week. It seriously annoyed me yesterday when we are in need of players and they announced yet another sponsor partnership. This club has lost all touch with its fans.

It's actually funny how much people laugh at the players Liverpool have yet they can, at times, attack and pass it with a real verve, whereas we can't play to decent passes in a row.

They have heart, as does their manager. He will shout at them, but I'd imagine he will build them up when needed. I get the impression ours can spend most of the time building up the errors made and turning even the smallest thing into a disaster.

I think I owe Di Maria an apology, called him a pussy for leaving United and while his attitude should've been better i can completely understand how he became so disheartened because of van Gaal.
