He will be fired. But probably too late to make top 4. Say, in 3-4 weeks.

We drew 0-0, at home, to the team that are 16th in the league.

People that are happy with that have no standards at all. You're talking like you support West Ham or Stoke.
To be fair to West Ham and Stoke, i doubt their supporters will be satisfied with a home draw against this Chelsea team.

Listen, If he does get sacked I will have little argument

But if he stays I will fully support the club and and hope things improve. Today things improved
There is no light at the end of the tunnel with this tool in charge. Is he going to sudden abandon his defensive shite Football?

You call that improvement today? Yet another game we didn't score. Is that our standards now? Chelsea were utterly shite today.

It's quite simple really.

Either the manager goes or a lot of the players go. It's almost always the former but if we do indeed decide to be 'better' than the rest (because we fecking love that idea don't we...) then expect major transfers out in the next two windows (and hell of a fall in league position).

What I really expect though is that Van Gaal gets sacked at the end of the season and it's another wasted season.

Bleurgh. I foolishly expected him to step down all respectfully. He must be sacked.

We deserve every dropped point, every meh game from this point onwards.
This now isn't LVG fault, it's on Woodward and the boards head.
If all this talk about Woodward and LVG going out to dinner with their wives is true then we have a serious conflict of interest at this point. He's too close to make the decision dispassionately.
From THIS point onwards? Everyone, even on here, saw it coming from a mile away that we weren't going to get much from these past two games after the utter shambles we saw against Norwich unless changes were made.

Lost for words, he's genuinely saved his job with a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford vs an incredibly poor and weakened Chelsea.

8 fecking games without a win. All that talk of his job hanging on Stoke and Chelsea and we get 1 of a possible 6 points.

I don't even blame Van Gaal anymore, why would he resign and forfeit money. Woodward, the board, whoever makes the decisions are an absolute utter joke. It's beyond belief what is the point in moving forward like this?

I enjoyed the performance. We were fun to watch and should have won. Huge difference between today and all our other games.

I'm sorry if this upsets people.
Fair enough, you clearly have the lowest standards possible and are willing to just ignore the context of the rest of the season.

In all honesty though - that's fine (at least it's a decision of some kind) but then I would expect Rooney, Carrick, Fellaini and plenty others to be leaving the club within the next couple transfer windows. It's a hell of a long wait for the second window and it could get ugly in the time leading to that.

We've already done one cleanse and probably thrown the baby with the bathwater with players like Chico. It might take another window but I fully expect Fellaini and Rooney to depart at the end of the season. Carrick is a figurehead, not expensively paid and we could do worse for a 4th choice CM if we buy another midfielder in the summer. Its pointless to shift him.

Oh my God! if you really believe that then you need psychiatric help
Which bit? The football under Moyes was a lot more exciting than the dross LvG has served up. We've scored as many league goals as Bournemouth this season. And no first half goals at OT for the last 8 games.

No-one is happy with the result. But it's clear that some people are so clouded by what has transpired over the last few weeks that they are blind to the fact that we actually played quite well today. I'm not saying that means LVG should stay, just that we weren't bad today.

Ok, we weren't that bad today. What is your point? This can't be a point, i mean what is the point of this being your point?

LvG: "Even after today's result the fans are applauding, so I cannot say I am concerned much."

Good to know that our manager 'isn't concerned' that he's taken his team to 6th in the league. Not won in 8, won 4 in 17, won 15 of the last 36, got us knocked out of the CL, got us knocked out of the LC by a championship team...but no its okay, he isn't concerned.

What an utter clown. How people can accept this is beyond me.

I enjoyed it but still want him gone.

If you are using the last three weeks as yardstick, yes we improved which was not going to take much TBH. Even Moyes, let alone moyes, you or me would have made an "improvement".

Or maybe we were good and made them look bad? You can't just reduce it to: No goals = shite performance. There's more to it than that. We did what we could. It could easily have ended 4-2.

Don't mis use his words. He said that in context of his job. Let at least keep the conversation factual. You have enough sticks to beat the poor man with

He is going nowhere till we are mathematically out of top 4, which is once again the aim for the season.

He will be given money to spend again in this window, although I dont see who can come and improve us.

The club is in utter shambles and needs to be rebuild right from the top.
Honestly think this is a complete over reaction. The problems in this team can be solved. Things are bad right now but all the foundations are in place to build a quality team again, it's gonna take some patience and a few quality signings tho. PersonAlly think Van Gaal could turn it around with some big signings but also wouldn't be against him leaving.

I think today it was clear the players are at least trying their best, they simply aren't good enough though.

That's all. I still want LVG out. Rather today than tomorrow. But people are painting this like another terrible performance when it fact is was the opposite. A bit of perspective wouldn't hurt.

Fair enough, you clearly have the lowest standards possible and are willing to just ignore the context of the rest of the season.

If LVG gets sacked he can have no complaints, I agree. He's been poor on the whole.

But I'm not going to spend my time moaning when I have genuinely enjoyed watching United play for a change. We played well and I see nothing wrong with what LVG said.

I'm out.

It's pure negligence by the Board if he isn't sacked. Total negligence

Van Gaal won't quit, of course he wont.

Our season, and at least the next, is fecked if he isn't gone by the next game.

Or maybe we were good and made them look bad? You can't just reduce it to: No goals = shite performance. There's more to it than that. We did what we could. It could easily have ended 4-2.
We had 2 shots on target. His tactics are shite.

So many are. It's utterly disgusting to see.

We really are becoming a mid table club.

From the top to the bottom, standards are dropping and dropping. To the point where even some fans are accepting it.

No other elite European club would accept such mediocrity. And mediocrity is being kind, seeing as we've won 4 of the last 17 games.

Time to leave football for a week and just shut up shop. It makes my blood boil that he hasnt gone. We are not a football club just a tshirt selling brand. Go feck yourself woodward, Lvg,the board, the glazers.

This isn't even a false dawn, we didn't win for crying out loud. I just know next week it'll be back to being garbage again. Seen it too many times.

This board dithers and with that we are screwed. He'll be sacked when we're even further away from the CL.

If your memory isn't too clouded, which I doubt. We got hammered at home by Liverpool,City, lost to Newcastle,Everton(home and away).Lost tamely to swansea. Virtually had no game plan that I saw.

Yup, it was entertaining..... if you're an ABU

We are not getting any in January and we are more likely to miss out of top 4 again.
