The worst thing is that LvG is not the only reason we are this bad. It's just one of 100 reasons. We won't see much difference as long as we keep Fellaini, Rooney, Mata in this club.

I'm not convinced bringing someone new will make a bit of difference. Our squad it rotten, our club is full of incompetent fecks that will ruin it given enough time.
I also feel like that. This is just a symptom of much bigger problem.

Clearly the majority of players want him gone, they're simply not performing. There is no doubting LVG's credentials but he hasn't got the best out of the squad. Hope he's sacked ASAP and that we ship out some of the players who aren't performing for him.

I think that barring a miraculous comeback he'll be gone by tomorrow afternoon.

In terms of personality LVG is everything I'd want in a United manager. A nice, dominant mix of confidence, arrogance, stubbornness and charisma. He had a big enough personality to walk into the club and look in control from the start, all while never doing or saying anything that made him look classless in the way someone like Mourinho often does.

That personality is what helped us from 7th to 4th last season. He brought a sense of direction and leadership that had been missing under Moyes.

Personality will only take you so far as a manager though. This season came down to the actual work LVG has done and, unfortunately, it wasn't nearly good enough.

We probably shouldn't be surprised that this work hasn't gone well as the philosophy it all feeds from fundamentally sucks. Overall it's the worst brand of possession football I've ever seen, with extra individual bits of nonsense added on for good measure. Playing like that is one thing, *wanting* to play like that is another.

There's no reason to think things will get much better as LVG is simply a very, very flawed manager. I was happy to put up with those flaws while we were still getting results (he was just a short term appointment after all) but now that results have totally collapsed there isn't really any reason to stick by him.

And the Moyes defense circle is complete, it's not as if it's the managers responsibility to get his players to perform or anything, sure he's basically just a glorified PE teacher, not his fault if everybody else is looking completely rubbish. We need to sell all the players and extend Saint Louis' contract to infinite years, we're so lucky to have him piss away 250m every season and have feck all to show for it.
Classy.
"Classy."

Spare me, please. The players are fecking gutless and your counter-argument of "classy" doesn't change that.

Sums it up for me. We are in freefall until he goes.

Pure negligence by the board to not have sacked him by now.

He should have gone last Saturday after we lost to Norwich at the very latest.

Classy.

You're spot on and Moyes had a bigger excuse than LvG in my opinion. Still certain people like LVG so theyll make excuses for him relentlessly.

When LvG is sacked, should Woodward leave too?
No. But what should happen is he should have less influence on the football side of matters. He's done wonderfully commercially for us but it might be time we consider bringing in a Director of Football.

Why on earth should Woodward go? We hired a proven winer with the hope he'd get us back to the top...So far that hasn't worked out and it looks like he's going to have to go. Why is this Woodward's fault?!

He's part of the problem and this started before LvG.

We won't finish top 4 with Van Gaal. We should be challenging for the league but the players have been lost by him.

The current manager of Chile or Juventus .

Why would either of them want to come to Manchester United? Allegri is an Italian managing the best team in his country who are still in the CL and are significantly better than us. Sampaoli won the Copa America just this year and will probably want to take them to the World Cup. Also does either of them speak English at all?

Possibly. He didn't cover himself in glory during Moyes' reign and LVG was by all accounts Woodward's choice. You'd have thought Woodward was directly linked to LVG's failure/success.

Though I guess Woodward might argue that Van Gaal's first season was a success, so...

What are the problems? Player transfers? Hiring two managers that haven't been a success? It's as if you think he's the only one with any decision making power at the club. If he's going, Charlton has to too I guess? Who else is on the board?

You ask me what the problems are at United, really? He's one of the problems as I said, I don't see how I mean he's the only one with decision making power?
Yes you can start with player transfers.

Is it because we've not secured Messi? We've done a good job so far with almost a total rebuild job done over the space of a couple of years. And what I'm saying about decision making power is that he isn't the only one with any say, meaning the whole board are responsible for the current situation.

Oh , so just unemployed managers then ? That narrows it down a bit.
