I wanted him to be successful at united, too. but do you see that ever happening? because I don't.

Same here but it's clearly not working and there is absolutely nothing to show that he will improve us, if anything it's the opposite.

He's a goner then I reckon, will be surprised if he's still here for these next 2 games.

These ultimatums are always stupid IMO. If you're considering it, then he's clearly been a disappointment in all aspects. What is one good result going to change? The question the board should ask is who will get better results. Mourinho, or Van Gaal? There's a clear and obvious winner there, and so we should change managers.
It's a no brainer tbh. We have the January window coming up, so if the club are thinking of changing, then the sooner the better.

Looks to me like theyre going to give him the january transfer window to make things right. Probably a pointless exercise as its not the players that are the major problem, barring Rooney of course.

The last thing he should be given is any more money.

In what other job would you be allowed to spend more money, after having already spent a shedload and failed miserably? Its just ridiculous.

Winning the next two games isn't going to make up for the recent defeats that's seen us slip down the table and knocked out of the champions league. We need to act now, get rid and get the next guy in (hopefully Jose) so he can prepare the team for Stoke.

Maureen is damaged goods.

I also agree these ultimatums are silly.

He can win the next 2 games and then drop the 2 after that. Then what?

There's been enough time to see that our progress under LVG has reached a peak and appears to be getting worse and worse.

His finished. When you give a manager two games to save his job, the trust is gone. I dont believe in the two match bullshit when I think about it, its just to stupid.

We have nine wins in 23 league games dating back to last season's home win against City.

Our fall after that City game is incredible really. I believe we were 4 points ahead of them and in 2nd. We were on a nice winning run while playing good football.

Then we lost to Chelsea where they sat back deep and nicked a goal, and we couldn't break them down. Since then it seems as if every game has gone like that.

Mourinho would be excellent here. I think the whole league wants us to either stick with LVG or appoint Giggs. The idea of Mourinho at United with all that money to spend is hardly something for our rivals to celebrate. They're desperate for us not to "sacrifice our principles" and get him, which tells you all you need to know.

Every newspaper running with it indicates Woodward has been briefing again, probably to try and appease the fans whilst they sort everything out with Mourinho/Giggs/whoever comes in next. If that goes well I'd guess he'd be gone even before Stoke.
This is my thinking as well.

Probably because every manager in the league realised, after that game, how to play against us. Pretty much every team has set up in the way Chelsea did that day when playing us. Let us have all possession, sit deep, keep it tight, then break quickly when the chance arises.

LVG has no other plan. Its possession or hoof it to Fellaini.

Jesus Christ

It gets even worse. And 14 wins in 33 overall since the same City game. How could anyone say give him time.

Well, thats what we did with Moyes.

Waited until the season was unsalvageable before getting rid.
It's very annoying and I don't know the logic behind it.

Wonder how motivated the squad will be to save LVG and deny themselves someone like Mourinho when they play stoke

Yup no plan B. And his plan A isn't even that good either.

His tragedy with Van Gaal as the backs of the fans "red devil". Shortly after the defeat Norwich, The Mirror (UK) conducted an online survey and have come close to 90% of the more than 8,000 voting option should be sacked coach Van Gaal immediately. On the pages of MU fans Social Forum, the opposition for the Dutchman as shown more clearly. Typically Redcafe.net forum, themed "Van Gaal go away" received support from thousands of people. And yet, the legendary Old Trafford as Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Peter Schmeichel until experts also expressed his wish Van Gaal to leave at this time.

That's from google translate, are they any Vietnamese speakers who can provide a better translation?

Don't think it's the case, but how about this as a hypothetical:

Jose is already lined up to come in, LVG is going to get the sack. Jose just doesn't want to take the role until after the Chelsea game.

And maybe he can go on holiday for all the other Chelsea games too?

The ultimatum is ridiculous, if he manages to scrape four points from those two games is everything just forgotten then?

If the board has decided that he's not the man to take us forward, then what are they waiting for? At least those articles seem to confirm that at the very, very latest, he'll be gone by the summer. That's reassuring. Hoping he'll be gone by the turn of the year, though.

Our possession game isn't even good. We aren't enforcing our style on other teams, they just sit back knowing we'll do feck all with the ball. When we take the lead, our possession game falls apart because the other team starts attacking in a search for a goal. We're incapable of keeping the ball under pressure even after 18 months of Van Gaal's bullshit philosophy.

The thing is the league is as weak as water this year, get in Jose and give him who he wants in January and let's see what happens over the second half of the season.

Truth.

Because Woody is spineless? Maybe I'm underestimating him...we'll see.

I doubt it's spinelessness myself. Those with strong views find it easy to take decisive action, but the present controllers of the club lack knowledge of the game, so they're unlikely to have confident opinions about the best course of action. Hesitation, delay and 'splitting the difference' are natural outcomes in those circumstances.

If he's given two more games.

Then Woodward needs to go with him. He's turning us into a laughing stock.

I completely agree. Usually you'd just make the mid-season change to try to prevent the very worst. This year is so bad, that preventing the worst could even be enough to win the league. Jose would be somebody capable of pulling it off.

I have a feeling José would win us the league. He could be a great manager for us if given the chance.
