Our possession game isn't even good. We aren't enforcing our style on other teams, they just sit back knowing we'll do feck all with the ball. When we take the lead, our possession game falls apart because the other team starts attacking in a search for a goal. We're incapable of keeping the ball under pressure even after 18 months of Van Gaal's bullshit philosophy.

I doubt it's spinelessness myself. Those with strong views find it easy to take decisive action, but the present controllers of the club lack knowledge of the game, so they're unlikely to have confident opinions about the best course of action. Hesitation, delay and 'splitting the difference' are natural outcomes in those circumstances.

I completely agree. Usually you'd just make the mid-season change to try to prevent the very worst. This year is so bad, that preventing the worst could even be enough to win the league. Jose would be somebody capable of pulling it off.
I have a feeling José would win us the league. He could be a great manager for us if given the chance.
