Said it in the match thread but Rooney looked pissed off at him and Carrick didn't look too pleased either. It was almost like they weren't convinced he was really hurt.

Yeah I thought I was seeing things but Rooney was visibly angry.

No idea what happened either. Was there some sort of a tackle that got him or anything?

Tough luck for him but honestly I don't want another Jones situation. Can't rely on players that are out half a season every year.

I think he felt a niggle and didn't want to bother playing on and making it worst. We really have some mentally weak players in the squad. A lot of them are the English ones which is disappointing. Add to that they are the most injury prone. Can't afford the same situation happening time and time again every season where we have a defensive crisis which affects our season hugely. Tough decisions need to be made in the summer.

 Mourinho has warped some of you lot something rotten.

Shaw has hobbled off injured and already armchair physicians-come-psychologists are sure that this is a product of mental weakness, or another one of Mourinho's buzzword phrases this season. Shaw has spoken to the team doctor and a decision has been made to take him off. At this point that's all we know. Somehow, and I know it's crazy, I can only conclude that he is genuinely injured.

Good post.

I dont give a feck about whether the injury is real or not. Shaw is simply not making himself available to the team and you cant build a defense around players like him and jones

Pretty sure Shaw has been available quite a bit this season and not picked.

Sounds like Jose laying it down to him in his post match interview. "Must be a very bad injury to come off after a few minutes", said in a certain way. Sounds like another challenge to me.

This guy is really annoying me. 10 minutes. 10 fecking minutes and he didn't even try to run it off.

Might know he's gone anyway in the summer and figures there's no point running through pain for a team he won't be with for too much longer.

Need one more competitive LB next season. Shaw cannot be trusted with half never mind full season.

Agreed. The commentator even stated Shaw asked for a few more minutes to try and run on it, with the physio/doctor telling him no.

By that logic he wouldn't have played extra time with cramps.

Poor shaw kept looking over to the touchline as he walked off to see if big daddy Jose was giving him a scornful glare. I have no idea what is going on with this one as they never showed a replay of him going down, he was just suddenly sitting on the floor and then taken off.

Not just pissed off at another player being injured?

He's played his last game for the club IMO. What's the point in keeping him around when he's constantly injured and when he does play, doesn't even look very good?

I'll be astonished if it's a muscular injury. He was supposed to be very fresh. He played about 3 games or something like that this month only so to get a muscular injury in first 10 minutes !! very surprised.

Not what it looked like but who knows.

It's be some cheek from Rooney given he's been out loads with bits of injuries.

Would you or anybody else have interpreted their frustrated reactions as displeasure with the injured player prior this recent notion that some of out players are too soft? I don't ever recall it being said before.

Shaw has qualities and will be here next season unless someone's prepared to give us back what we paid for him...
