Was that his best game for us so far?
Any opposing fans with a piece to say on Shaw?
Phil Neville: "I think they've got a player with real star quality. There aren't many players in world football who can open up a defence like him (on that chance giffed)."
Also mentioned that Shaw reminds him a bit of Bale when "he opens his legs", was one of the best attackers for us and said England have got a real talent.
He must stay injury-free* then he'll become the best left-back in the world over years
*Unfortunately that's the hardest job for a United player
"At the start there was a few people questioning whether it was the right move to come here, but I'm feeling really good about myself now and hopefully the critics can turn it around now to more positive stuff because there was a lot of negativity about me," said Shaw.
"I just take it on the chin and I try to prove everyone wrong.
"You could say that criticism made me stronger because obviously you read it and everyone gets involved in media and what people say, so it's something that inspired me to push harder, work harder, train harder and prove people wrong and I've had a few good games.
"That's not going to prove it to everyone but I'm willing to keep on improving and show people why they bought me.
"I think I'm feeling at home now. Everyone has been really good with me, not just the players but the staff.
"They've made me feel really welcome and now I just want to keep on improving, working hard in training and get the best out of myself."
"It's a new surrounding for me but the best thing is for me that my family have come up with me," said Shaw.
"It's not just me as a 19-year-old coming up living by myself, I have a good structure at home and good people around me.
"My mum and dad have come up. It makes me feel more comfortable. It helped me settle because even at Southampton I never lived with them but it's nice to be with them and to even spend time with my family."
Shaw’s penetrative surge forward against Crystal Palace on Saturday was a highlight of the match.“It’s a new surrounding for me but the best thing is for me that my family have come up with me, it’s not just me as a 19-year-old coming up living by myself, I have a good structure at home and good people around me,” he added.
“My mum and dad have come up. It makes me feel more comfortable. It helped me settle because even at Southampton I never lived with them but it’s nice to be with them and to even spend time with my family.”
“It’s something I have in my ability and I think I can do more of it. Patrice Evra and Denis Irwin did that here and they are top quality left-backs and I just want to come here and prove to everyone that I can be just as good as those two legends.”
