This is the bloke that was huffing and puffing and was totally gassed out halfway through the first half vs Chelsea. He can shove his max speed up his fat arse.

Could be he has great acceleration but a lower top speed in a longer sprint. Max speed isn't exactly useful for a football game. Lukaku is fast but takes ages to get to that speed.

He's also looked in fantastic shape this summer.
 
Wish he'd just hurry up and feck off. Stupidly inflated opinion of himself.
 
Have seen him motor in a United shirt a couple of times and it's been well known he's one of the fastest at the club but he's knackered after. He'll probably show more of it at Juve/Inter where he's motivated to play and will probably get leaner.

Sometimes wonder if the songs the fans sung made him a bit disinterested.

There's several plausible reasons for Shaws stats there, as I seriously doubt he's slower than Mata...He's had niggling injuries, so it wouldn't surprise me if he's not doing sprints at full speed.

Weird flex, because the majority of complaints about Lukaku are about his first touch and how knackered he gets after a sprint.
