Fat feck.

I could understand (not like) if it was a player of some ability - but this is Lukuku, what a pathetic man.

If he ever returns, either for us or for another team the crowd are going to give him some epic stick.

Are there any fans who actually ever want to see this dillusional, unfit player play for us again?

You really hate him don't you. I don't like him as a player but you have been taking it over the top in this thread imo.

I'd just be delighted he didn't play for us

And people thought Pogba was the problem in the dressing room

Club probably informed him he's getting sold so I don't have any hard feeling with what he's doing. The relationship has broken between us and him.

I can't imagine the fan meltdown that Pogba going to train at Le Havre until the window closes instead of Carrington would cause on here

Lukaku has definitely not endeared himself much this window, for all his talk big upping his own mental fortitude,he's made a lot of weak moves to force his way out along with deciding to give up on fighting for a starting place in the XI

Potentially! :D

However, I’m sick of his lack of effort, determination and professionalism.

There’s (unfortunately for everyone involved), a very real chance he’s going to still be a Utd player at the end of the window.

Utd have been very good to him, just compare it to the Icardi or Dybala situation - yet it’s Lukuku whonis the one taking the complete piss.

We are still paying him - and if he was meant to be at Carrington today, then that’s another unacceptable thing he’s done. He’s honestly behaving like a spoilt teenager.

That depends if the club gave him a permission to stay there even farther or not, which is something we're not clear about so far. Terreur said we refused to comment on it. If he stayed there despite the club telling him to return and he ends up not leaving in the market I'm sure he'll get punished hard.

Don't see a problem with him not coming back if we are definitely selling him this summer. It's best for the group of players who are going to stay to be playing together without the distractions of being with a player who is about to leave.

He’s not the only one

Is there anything he can do to fight for a place in the starting 11, honestly? It’s a difference in styles.

He literally established himself as starting 11 player last season under Ole after he came back from injury and gained full fitness. He only lost that spot after he got hurt again. So yeah, he could score goals like he was and he'd get into the starting lineup.

Going forward, it's been said that Lukaku is incompatible with Ole's style of play, due to his playing characteristics. It may have sufficed last season but it won't this season. Hence everyone's desire to move him on.

Well looks like there was nothing in it. He had the club's permission after all.

He's not incompatible. He's unwilling to compete for his position and adjust to how Ole wants to play with interchanges and fluidity. He wants to be a guaranteed starter because he thinks he's a top class striker that shouldn't have to fight for his spot.

If you think that then fair enough. Reading through this thread I think the overall conclusion is different.

I think the concept of a player "fighting for their spot" is a bit overrated, but that's another topic entirely. His real or perceived actions have burnt that bridge, so both sides would be best moving on.

It was reported at the time that they fell out, definitely something in it.

Something definitely happened between them last year, I remember mentioning it a few times on here. Pogba would be very visibly annoyed with him on the pitch very often.

What a mess this is turning into. Surely this weakens our hand during negotiations as it seems pretty unthinkable that he can now come back.

I'm surprised we are allowing him to train over there. If I was Ole or his coaches until it is guaranteed he will be moving on I would want him training under my system and programme so I can monitor how he is doing. Especially with Ole's focus on fitness unless Anderlecht have him on a programme we have requested obviously they can send through all his training information but still seems a bit strange as currently he is a Manchester United player so should be following our training programme. Also training with his team mates will develop the system Ole wants to use and get him up to speed with that.

Has anyone heard of anything like this happening before? Just seems odd the club would allow this while we are currently the ones paying his wages.

Jesus is that really a bad offer? We paid £75m right? Take that and run!
Given how sour things seem to have turned out we'd be silly to decline such an offer, maybe Everton have a sell on clause.
