Definitely seems to have gone under the radar today because he's playing next to a Real CM and a Barca CM on either side.
Doesnt mean he was better than Modric, but he was up there too. Modric certainly didnt do everything himself today

Adrien Silva completely shutting Modric down on a Euros knockout game was the highlight of being a Sporting fan in the past few years. I’ll never forget that one. If Kante is tasked with doing the same job he’ll be even tougher.

I was surprised he did such a good job tbh, but on the other hand, you don't often see players go man-marking opposition midfielder who isn't even so much of a goal threat. Thought he was very good tonight, the grit and determination to grab hold of the game in the second half was impressive.

Thought he was poor in the first half and both him and Rakitic (Rakitic was worse) couldn't handle the press England were employing. In the second half though, as England dropped back, he got more control and dictated play much better. For this match, Perisic was much better throughout the match.
They definitely upped their level in the second half, England struggled badly against them.
It was both Croatia being better but also England changing their tactics by sitting back more and basically hoofing it up to Kane.
