Who will win the match based on all the players at their peaks?

It’s been brought up numerous times about that wing and the danger and overlaps Carlos would bring. It was just met with, Garrincha doesn’t track back. But obviously he’s going to skin Carlos
 
I’m fed up of hearing how dangerous Garrincha is.
Let’s focus on my attack for a change. There is no cover for gstq fullbacks, one midfielder protecting his back two.

I would run riot in this match with the only danger being a counter from Garrincha

I think having Djalma there is a great start :)

Also, Rivellino is not your standard run down the flank left winger. He was primarily a play maker, an excellent dribbler, with a fairly good cross in him.

Those things of course fit well into the 1970 team and they fit perfectly in Zlatan's team here.

But that of course doesn't mean he was the sort of player who would constantly threaten down the flank (like a Zagallo would). I wouldn't expect Djalma to be constantly barraged with 2 vs 1 situations.

There might be some moves where it might happen which is when I expect Zito who is playing on that side to help out. Just like Davids is helping out Carlos with Garrincha.

Probably because di Stefano would be goosed by this stage of the match after being in 3 positions at once all match, he’s bound to tire :) the billy whiz jack of all trades that he is
 
Im curious, is this the first time Di Stefano got the credit he deserves or people voted for attacking power of Queen. Have no doubts Di Stefano can play the role he has here, would most likely affect his offensive contributions given the quality of opponents but then again Queen is more then covered there so should work.
Shame on zlatan as he built a damn good team, Fenomeno almost made me not to vote as you can see him having a great game but had to reward Queen in a close game for going for balance with Zagallo rather then going with Gento which most would do.
 
Good game GSTQ, well argued and I do like the way you follow a theme. All the best going forward.
 
Gutted I lost this match, I think I outdone myself with this team and going to find it hard to beat in future drafts. I actually liked this team and couldn’t find a fault with each player in each position.

I’d be i tersted to know along with sjor whether it was Garrincha that swing your votes or your attack in general, whether Di Stefano role was overlooked etc
 
@Zlatan 7 you had great team, but shave one had the upper hand here imo.

Alfredo Di Stefano is most complete footballer of all time and could play anywhere. I even think in modern football he would play in this position as you want him on the ball as much as possible.

Losing by 2 votes from this team is no shame. You've done a great job.
