Luciano Vietto

Based only on YouTube videos, dybala looks the more talented and exciting player. Full of running and trying to beat his man.

I was actually thinking the exact opposite yesterday when I went through a few compilations of Viettos yesterday. Especially his performances against the likes of Atletico and Barca. He's so silky.

However, if we're intrested in players like Dybala and Vietto it would seem like we're sticking with our 4-4-2 formation as I'm unsure about wether they'd fit as lone strikers or wide-men in a 4-3-3. It appears that they both play as secondary strikers for their respective teams.

Vietto is more of a striker than Dybala imo. Dybala looks like he could play as a wide forward.

Some fantastic young strikers doing well for Argentina across Europe this season, surely at least one of them will make it big.

Ive been watching Vietto closely this season, hes been genuinely fantastic. Goals and assists aside he really covers the ground and looks a nightmare to play against. If the value of that release clause is true there will be about 20 clubs after him in the summer.

This is key for me. All of our main strikers are way too easy to play against. It looks so easy to contain them, and the responsibility to make things uncomfortable seems solely rested on those behind them, with the strikers just there to finish.

I think he will go to Atletico or Arsenal (just a feeling, haven't seen any rumours).

His attitude seemed spot on as well. Even in matches where they've lost he was still buzzing around the place. Id love to see a heat map for his recent performance against Barca in the cup (1st leg).

Villarreal president has confirmed that Vietto's release clause is around €20m.

Has a good temperament on him as well, apparently. Nothing bothers him, he's as cold as ice.

I hope he stays at Villarreal for a couple more seasons - unless we are in for him.

They should get him to extend the deal soon, he is certainly worth much more than that.

We should be looking to take a punt on players like this now, instead of having to pay £45m+ in 2 years time. Not that spending that kind of money guarantees success anyway. Can't see us even trying to get him though with our transfer history.

Sign him, Dybala and Depay. Sell RVP, send Falcao back to Monaco and send Wilson on loan :D

Scored a good goal tonight in Villareal's 4-1 win over Celta Vigo.

FFWD to the 4:10 mark.

Scored his 20th goal of the season tonight in a 3-1 home defeat to Sevilla in the Europa League.

So that's 20 goals and 7 assists in 39 apps (all comps), of which only 24 as a starter! A goal every 120 minutes in La Liga.

Very very impressive, does someone nownif he'd fit in the La Liga, finally some huge talents *strikers* are rising, two years ago, I could only think of Balotelli ffsm

He's very good, never stopped running tonight and he links play well, we really should be looking at him rather than mediocrity like Ings and Berahino.

This !

Vietto is exhibiting the kind of form and quality that Aguero, Silva and Mata produced in their final seasons in La Liga. All three of them made the leap in quick succession while we prioritized proven Premier League performers but overall lesser talents in the shape of Young or Valencia. The club needs an injection of pace, workrate and technique in the final third and Vietto fits that criteria to a T. The obscenely paltry buyout clause makes it an even better deal.

20m euros is only what, £14m?

He'd be worth that easily.

We should be all over him for that price. I didnt see much of him, but he seems to be highly rated. I watched Dybala a lot, but he would be far more expensive.

Exactly, I can't see a single box he doesn't tick when it comes to want we need and he'd be perfectly suited to a fluid front 3 with Rooney and Memphis.
