Someone just metioned him in a post above yours. Can't believe there's 245 posts on this nonsense already.....Who remembers last January when Moyes realized he had been found out and he was willing to spend crazy money on any player he could get to try and desperately save his sorry ass? Well last January we were being constantly linked with a winger playing for Cruzeiro named Everton Ribeiro.......The Caf went mental and people were excited that he was the new coming of Jesus and that we simply had to sign him....well has anyone heard of Everton Ribeiro ever since? Exactly.......I don't doubt that this bloke Luca Silva is wonderful but his agent is obviously doing a good job by promoting interest in his client and if Silva does ever get a move to Europe then it could be 3 or 4 years before he would be even close to Champions league level of he even ever reaches that level. Oscar and Ramires have been in the PL for a few seasons already and the jury is still out with them so there's hope for a bloke like Lucas Silva making an instant impact in England

yeah and my post obviously was ten times longer than his so he beat me to it as his wan't there when i started typingSomeone just metioned him in a post above yours.
Look signing Silva would be awesome but it would not have any effect on our champions leagues aspirations for 3 or 4 yearsJust been called up to the Brazil squad actually...
He's been pretty poor. A lot of his passes have gone a stray. Just a dire half of football all round.

Yeh there's a a few of them with similar stature. It helps having English commentary! There were a few misplaced passes for Cruzeiro. Couldn't figure out whether it was him or the other 2 who look like him from my camera angle and portuguese commentary.
Regardless it proved that a basic point in your post was wrong. People mationed him on this forum from time to time.yeah and my post obviously was ten times longer than his so he beat me to it as his wan't there when i started typing
I'm afraid your talking gobbledegook. Is it not obvious to you that LVG can not afford to take any risks on young players that play in a position that he doesn't need more young hopefuls in?...there's nothing in this at all...We have Rothwell and Pearson coming through the ranks....Why sign another young player for a position that we already have great young players coming through when all they are is more potential not to mention that if anything LVG needs a seasoned world class player like Stootman or Xabi Alonso to get us out of our woes.....Lucas Silva may have a fine career but not with us and time will prove thatRegardless it proved that a basic point in your post was wrong. How much talk was about Herrera after last year debacle. Not much. But despite no talk we prepared the transfer to happen before this transfer even opened. Maybe Everton was lined up to but Van Gaal said no.
Journalist usually just put 1 and 1 together and create a story but usually this stories are about big names like Vidal, Khedira, Di Maria and in the past Tiago, Sneijder. When there is a talk about some unknown linked to us it is usually something in it. And even Lucas Silva's agent said we are interested. How much more evidence do you need.
Caio looks a very good player, shame about his cruciate injury. Is he actually better than Rodrigo Caio? He was the best young dm in Brazil last season and he's the same age

Obviously that's the inherent risk, but there is a risk with any transfer. I'm saying that if the club bid for him, he accepts and moves here to be a part of the first team that would be my baseline expectation for him this year. A player that can provide cover against the less imposing teams in the PL and at 21 I don't think that's asking for too much.
Or he could be like Oscar.
Nobody is expecting him to solve our problems.
Good for you and thankfully you are not in charge.I don't want brazilian players
Reported Manchester United target Lucas Silva has revealed that he would love to play in Europe, but he only wants to leave Cruzeiro if it is a good deal for everyone.
The 21-year-old midfielder is regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in Brazil and is thought to have attracted widespread attention.
Speculation has suggested that Manchester United have been in contact over a possible move, while Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid have also been credited with an interest.
Silva admits that he is keen to impress anyone who might be watching from afar, but he is leaving such matters in the hands of his agents and will not worry too much about his future as he remains happy at Cruzeiro.
“I have the dream of playing in Europe, but I don't want to leave Cruzeiro the wrong way,” Silva, who is thought to be valued at around €10million, told Superesportes.
“I was developed by Cruzeiro. If it's not something good for me or Cruzeiro, it won't be bad to stay here."
Silva added to Globo Esporte: "My agents make me aware when there is something, when some teams talk or make contact.
“They assure me they handle this and that I have to worry about what happens on the pitch. I have to do my work well at Cruzeiro so people will still talk about me outside Brazil."
