I don't get this one at all. He'll frustrate the life out of us if we sign him.
Sky Sports saying that United are interesting in Lucas, but have not made a bid so far: http://www.skysports.com/football/n...-lucas-moura-but-no-offer-yet-made-for-winger
Maybe we should bring Di Maria back.Sources in France have told Sky Sports News that PSG are also listening to offers for attacking midfielders Javier Pastore and Angel Di Maria.

The quality is what we need. Questionable mentality though. If we can take him on loan to see how it goes, then there may be chance. Other than that would stay clearMaybe we should bring Di Maria back.
Nah..How about we maybe just maybe trust the judgments of Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho on this one...

Literally have nothing to do with being British. One is a football stereotype, the other is a racial one across the globe which you definitely know about unless you live under a rock.I wasn't aware of either of the stereotypes that you mention. Bear in mind that I'm not British.
In fact I wasn't trying to be racist at all. It did occur to me that all the players I'd listed were black, but I didn't want to self-censor my post because others are a little too eager to take offense where none is meant.
I probably would have if I'd anticipated the furore though.
Come on man, he wrote really stupid things on football side but to call him a racist is too much here. You listed 3 black players as brainless (1 football stereotype), and said they're going for a brainless chicken takeaway after training (1 racist stereotype).
You can play dumb all you want but you knew exactly what you were doing, and suspect that you're only still here because it wasn't explicitly racist.
What does being British or not have to do with those stereotypes?

Have to say if he's not good enough for PSG then he shouldn't be good enough for United, also have to look at our rivals in England, is he better than any of City's forward line-up?
PSG are a better team than we are. they are stacked with world class players.
Yes, that should be our standard but we aren't there yet and have to rebuild. Lucas has done really well the past two seasons, only reason he has fallen out of flavor is PSG stacking on said world class players. He'd improve our right side.
Sure, but instead of taking baby steps and wasting money and only improving 'slighty', why not aim high and solve the problem straight away?
I'd rather wait until the summer and get someone better, we are 2nd in the Premier League right and not going to catch City even if we bring in Messi and Ronaldo this window.
Let's get top 4 this season, we capable doing that with the squad we have now and sort the problem out properly in the summer rather than papering over the cracks.
He's been pretty good overall. Now "pretty good" is a bit underwhelming when he was once mentioned in the same breath as Neymar as potentially the next big thing.Any regular PSG followers here? How's he done for them since joining?
How do people look back on Jesus Nava's time at city? I'd imagine Moura would fill a role similar to him.

He's improved tremendously his tactical discipline because he started from very low and his end product has also gotten better although he's still a bit frustrating when when he could finish the situations he creates with better decision making.
Overall it doesn't look that PSG exploited his strengths to the maximum but he rather had to adapt to the PSG tactics that at times held him back. This could change in a new club under another manager.
Makes a lot of sense we’ve needed a player who can play wide right for along time now if he can beat a man and deliver a good ball into the box im all for it I haven’t seen any of him as don’t watch PSG but if Jose wants him I trust his judgment enough to take the punt on him and at only 25 year old and for only £20-25m could be a steal in todays market
Can we please give this Will Absolute fella the benefit of the doubt here?
I'm a 43 year old who's been watching football for over 35 years and I've not heard of this chicken dinner thing some are claiming is such common knowledge.
He developed in Paris under Blanc in a possession system where the wide players were very central to drag the opposing full backs and open the space on the wing for the PSG full backs (especially on the right flank). Lucas very rarely found himself in 1 on 1 situations, often double marked and handed the ball far away from the goal.Nice post but can you add to this? What things as a winger did he not get to do during his opportunities at PSG?
It seems he's lost a bit of pace since he was first signed, would you agree with that?He developed in Paris under Blanc in a possession system where the wide players were very central to drag the opposing full backs and open the space on the wing for the PSG full backs (especially on the right flank). The team also had a tendency to pass on the counterattacking opportunities that could make use of his pace and instead quietly recycle possession and slowly occupy the opponent half and build from the back.
Emery said he had to tell the players that even if they identified as a possession team it was OK to go for the counter sometimes.
If we were signing Messi the reaction on here would be he his coming to the end of his career....
