I've never watched this but seeing it constantly on the front page makes me kinda wanna give it a go
The appeal I think is seeing loads of vain, seemingly supremely self-confident arseholes exposed to situations they’re not typically used to and watching their fragile egos try to handle it. It’s quite fascinating to discover just how insecure a lot of these people are.
They sound like quite the catch!

There is a bad core of a few women in there. They’ll defend each other until the bitter end rather than accept they are childish - trying to be loyal to each other rather than working with/on a lad. Amber, Anna and Amy will burn the Villa down.
I know it’s mad, I keep thinking he might be a sound guy to have a pint with then have to check myself to see if I’m being blinded by the rest

It's all entirely superficial though isn't it. I mean we're not getting to know anything of substance about any of these people at all.
It's not like any of them are sitting down and discussing the impact of Brexit on the economy, or LGBTQ rights, or the the Tory government's treatment of poor people etc.
They could get to the end of the show naively thinking they've found some kind of soul mate and then find out within hours that the other person is actually a massive arsehole.

Oh they mostly absolutely are, however i probably sound awful for saying this but it makes you less bothered if bad or controversial things happen to them if that makes sense? Eg I originally liked Curtis then he wound me up keep offering advice and being all smug now hes in his own problems and I hope he digs himself a deeper and deeper hole
Also you have to ignore the fact they say like in every sentence and "it is what it is" winds me up a treat!!
And “go for a chat”, “want to get to know you”, “my head’s turned”, etc.
I'd love to see one where they used "normal" people eg ones who've never had cosmetic surgery etc think that would be more interesting
They spend more time talking about having conversations than actually having conversations.

The best is that girl who came in fishing for compliments and immediately asked Anton who the 3 hottest girls are while sitting with two of the other girls. To which Anton proper mugged her off by saying the other two girls and a third one across the Villa. She was made such a fool she was never to be seen again. I think that guy was just kissing everyone during that challenge though, he was proper quick with it. Theres been atleast 3 marriages and a few more couples are still together i believe. You genuinely actually can find love off this show but that doesn't suit the narrative of people who shit on the show (in general, not necessarily you).
That episode was amazing. My heart was genuinely racing at the end.
I tank this season up there with season 2, just below season 3.

Agree. Amber and Anna have shown over and over that they think it is one rule for them and their mates, and another for everyone else. I can't stand either of them.
And I've noticed this girl loyalty thing extends outside the villa too. The girls at work think amber, Anna and Yewandi can do no wrong. It's been facinating listenening to some of their justifications.

It looks like from the preview clip Anna not only looks angry at Michael she even goes and confronts him about it... she was annoying enough pulling the faces but she was far far quicker to get with the basketball guy Jordan was gone the minute she saw him walk through the door Michael at least showed a little restraint hope one of the girls drops her in it. Then the way she mumbled out when Caroline asked her why she left Jordan, could barely explain herself

Amber has the worst personality ever. She also has no concept of it either and just assumes that looks are everything hence the ‘i can tell by looking at her I’m better in every single way’. She’s a genuinely horrible person.
