They've relaxed the rules slightly. Before, even if you flinched in the blocks before the gun it counted as a false start, but they've removed that now.
The false start start rule is ridiculous.
They should have traps like in dog racing.
Steeplechase is a cool race.

If you give everyone one free pass then they'd all risk it once to try and get an advantage.
People would soon get fed up it that happened.
Not everyone got 1, it was whoever did it first and the field were given a yellow flag then if anyone else did it they were out.
