It's like everything in life - opinions differ. Half the posters here think he's great, and half think he's a shit stirrer.

Him having the other forum was never the problem. People can post in as many forums as they want to, but there seems to be a definite intent to destroy this one in the process. Thread after thread, post after post, complaining about something the mods have done - inciting everyone. Well we might not always get it right - who does - but we don't always get it wrong either.

Then you get the hypocrites who actually ask us to ban people because they are perceived as muppets or whatever. People constantly whinging about the quality of posts in the General, newbies picked on and basically bullied because they aren't seen as good enough to be part of the clique. If we banned some of those poor sods, no-one would give a stuff because just lately here it's not a forum for everyone - it's a forum for those who fit in.

I've been told that he has been disruptive and sinister, as well as poaching posters from here for the other forum.

He can contest it if he wants to, that doesn't mean I can't ask about the reasons behind it. I don't see why you have such a problem with people questioning decisions.
 
Anyone that even contemplates defending a man who openly tells people "to go and rape a retarded child" in posts should think long and hard about themselves.....

There has always been abuse and cliques on the Caf, newcomers have always been mocked, people like ManUtdRed and Cr7fan have been abused, but have come through and are better posters for it, that's the way the forum works. The only difference is now the mods are on the recieving end of a lot of the abuse, some of it is unfair, some of it you've brought on yourselves.

I know you have a lot to deal with on here, but the stricter you become, the more decisions you make on your own, the more this whole mods against others thing will get worse.

There is no rift, apart from certain members of the other place coming in here to cause problems and then fecking off and at no point posting anything else in the forum.

They made a great decision an ethical decision and have the balls to put the site first before people that try and be detremental to it. I didn't question the Murderers banning because there was a clear reason behind it, I didn't question the Andy banning because there was a clear reason behind it. You see what i'm trying to say?

I think we have been on the end of so much shit lately, that we eventually develop a siege mentality and become defensive. Every single decision that's been made has been questioned and argued with. There's nothing wrong with arguing a case, but there's a way to do it, and I doubt that anyone of us would not be prepared to discuss privately any issue with a poster and sort it out amicably where possible, but it's just a constant barrage of snide comments and abuse.

People push buttons until they get a negative response, and then complain when they get it - but half the time it's exactly what they're looking for.

If he was causing mods or whoever hastle to get them to his site then it's unethical. Slabbers humor was based on the meanest thing he could say anyway, any mean fecker can do that. I'm not kissing the mods ass or anything but it's just fact alot of people think they're some God on the site when they're not

I understand you being defensive, as I said some of the abuse you have gotten is unfair and some is warranted, I just would have thought some of you would be able to have some control over yourselves when it is obvious that I am not trying to be abusive or 'shit stir'.

The only decisions I have question is the Jason one, which I thought was silly and was probably right as he was soon reinstated, and this one.

Apart from anything else though, there are the constant sick posts that Slabber made about aids, about kids etc, which have offended a lot of people. As mods are we supposed to just ignore quite a high number of complaints?

Yes, but he's been doing that for a while, and was ghosted a few days ago for doing that recently, so you can't really use it as an excuse.

Plus there is also the fact of the reasons behind what he says and the people he says it to but that's a whole other argument which I don't really want to get into.

I have always had a huge amount of time for Slabber. To the point where I have pm'd him or quietly deleted some of his posts when he has quite clearly gone OTT. Whilst argumentative and abusive, even if it was often in a Blackadder "I hope your Mother dies in a freak yachting accident" style, his intellect and hatred for prejudice and injustice usually shone through and more than negated all of the negatives.

In recent months the positives have just about gone. Which is very sad IMO. I would prefer he was here calling me a cockbiscuit but his banning at some point was almost inevitable it would seem. Even yesterday if he had backed off and let things lie he would be still here.

You should thank god i'm not a mod, i'd have banned jason, slabber and the prat that claims to molest poltry not gonna say his name i'm too much of a chicken (get it?)...and i'd have enjoyed it too :D . Give the mods a break, slobbers probally typing his details in as we speak in some backstreet cybercafe.
