Liverpool make £21.8m bid for Atlético Madrid striker Diego Costa

That's a lot of money for him, they should take the cash and run. He's another Suarez type character as well they should get on well together.

If we are getting him we have a lot of players for a few first team places.
Though Brendan did say he wanted to bring another player in "up top".

We would have Suarez, Costa, Sturridge, Aspas, Borini plus the likes of Downing, Assaidi, Luis Alberto.
A few of them wouldn't even be able to make it into the squad for games never mind the starting eleven.
Add to that Sterling and Ibe.

Be interesting to see what happens, I can see Coutinho playing more centrally next season.

Just hope we are not forgetting about the priority which has to be a new centre back.

He and Aspas should make things easier for Luis, take the limelight off.

30 goals and 19 assists from his last 60 games is pretty good though, playing second fiddle to Falcao. I'll be over the moon with a return like that from a supporting forward.

Yes indeed.

I personally think this is a poor move , he's a good enough player, absolutely no question, far,far better than andy carroll and I think those comparisons are misguided. The problem is him. Hes getting a reputation in a league that pepe has survived in. He wont get away with any of his shit in the premier league, its a vastly different environment, and I cant see him changing at all, some players just are not suited to this league, he would be top of the list.

I wonder if I can get odds on him being the new Marco Boogers......getting sent off in all four of Pools opening games before going loopy and ending up in a caravan on some piece of Scouse wasteland.........

Iago Aspas, Diego Costa and Suarez what a scumbag trio that would make. :D

Too bad Suarez wants out.

And Costa seems to not want to come. :(

I'd love to see a proper scumbag trio.

He's also one of those players who seems to be invisible to referees, getting away with it most of the time. You see refs give him a yellow because they can tell something bad happened, but they didn't see the incident themselves. A perfect case for after match video refs. He does score/make goals though, sometimes critical ones.

Personally I'd send him off before the match starts, just for appearing in the lineup.

If it was to come to it he would've made a bitch of Ramos and Pepe. But flinging his spit is just beyond pathetic.
