Liverpool are going to break Arsenal's 49 game unbeaten run | HAHAHAHAHAHA LIVERPOOL BASTARDS | Specialists in Failure

Who would, in their right mind, try to laugh at Liverpool from the position we're in?

That's pathetic. I don't go on and on about their wins when we're not on the same level as them, but it's equally pointless to try and make their only defeat of the season so far in to something to laugh at them for.

Have some sense and don't embarrass yourself. We should reach their level, or at least wait it out till they drop to ours before we can laugh at them again.

we’ve just beat Bruges 5-0 and smashed Watford 3-0.

They’ve lost to a team who can’t even win their own league in Europe and just got battered by Watford.
And people genuinely think they’re better than us?

If you can't take pleasure in your fiercest rivals failing to beat a very commendable record, football is fecked.

This thread is f... pathetic. I would laugh at the Dippers if we had any basis to do so but unfortunately we don't. I enjoyed the fact that they lost but that's about it and every good football team can lose a game.

Can I come round yours fer a beer? You seem like a right laugh.

Finally

a result where you guys can’t brag about being the only team to shave points off us

I’ll drink to that

I did

I’m proper struggling this morning especially with no bloomin ibuprofen in the vicinity

which one of you Mancs will remind me we’ve still won the Premier League????

Oooooo I even remembered Capitals

Love it when they get worked up like this.

The greatest invincible club team ever TM.

@Klopper76 is the only rational one. He's alright.

The others though. I can't stop laughing. They are so worked up despite the fact they are going to win their first league title in over 30 years. They really do believe their own hype and it's killed them they aren't taking the record.

What's with your username? did you misclick and accidentaly put the cursor between 'norm' and 'cro' eventhough You meant to register as normcro87? You should learn to laugh at Poo Chumpions at every chance. No time for logic.

It really hasn't. It would have been nice of course but the title is really all that matters and I've said that in previous posts.
At this stage, if that loss against Watford gives us a much needed kick up the arse, then it might turn out to not be such a bad thing

Maybe not you personally but you could tell the players, manager and many of you fans here are gutted. Quite often when people protest the opposite too much you know they are struggling. Why deny it though? You'd want to be seen as the invincibles. I guess why everyone is laughing at you at the moment is some of the narrative and cockiness given out has been unfounded. Much better to be humble.

If they go out of the CL, this is going to be a seriously anti climactic end to the season for them

We can only dream. Just reminded me of the Manchester United treble team debate Jamie Carragher and Roy Keane had. I sat through the whole thing thinking they haven’t even won the league yet and there is a chance they could be knocked out of both cup competitions. Just wait until they have achieved something first before giving them all the plaudits.

The league is all but won now but they still have to get over the finish line. We were something like 8 points clear with 5 games to go and blew it. This loss ‘could’ create a minor wobble.

It’ll be a massive anti climax after all the chatter if they *only* win the league – that’s not the stuff of ‘greatest of call time’.

I don’t think there’s any question that they’ll win the league, though.

Imagine if they somehow manage to feck up their lead now.It will be classic loserpool.:D

They won't drop this but I can see them falter in the FA Cup and the CL. Carra going on and on with Keane about this Liverpool team that hadn't won anything was pure comedy gold. But they are still well on the way in points to become the best one yet. They need one more win to have beaten the Invincibles points total. In the end this could the end up being one more title nothing more nothing less. But they have always had it before best players, best managers, best fans and best team in the whole wide world...

Brilliant comment mate. Liverpool are running away with the title with record-breaking stats, and someone calls them "specialists in failure". Jeez.
Well, over three decades they sure have been. It's one league title in that time. Regardless I don't think we should give up the eternal right we have to laugh at them.

Brilliant comment  Anybody who calls that comment brilliant draws suspicious on their own posting standard.

? Arsenal won the league with 90 points in 2004; Liverpool have 79 right now.

Its obviously a tounge in cheek comment, i dont think you need someone to tell you that.

Yeah you are right they had 26w and 12d.. But the point still stands that Liverpool will beat that easily.

They drew 5 of their last 9 games when their focus became about not getting beat. After 29 games their record was

P29
W22
D7
L0
Pts 73/87

And let’s not forgot up until a couple of seasons ago 90 points was an incredible points total. We shouldn’t diminish that season on the basis of the last couple of seasons. I believe the league was a lot stronger back then too.

United have done it a few times where it looked like we may get to mid 90s in terms of points but then just took our foot off the gas.

It's about time. They got away with it for far too long. Over half of their wins in their winning run came from single goal victories, narrowly coming out on top by the skin of their teeth - whether that was due to VAR/ refereeing decisions, keepers throwing the ball into their own net, opposition players making bumrushed decisions, a disputable penalty, opposition failing to capitalise on chances and missing sitters, being Everton and nobody players like Lallana randomly chipping in with a goal.

Combine this with the fact that they've played the whole season with no significant injuries, whilst their rivals had key players out for prolonged periods.

It really was the perfect storm for Liverpool and one that thankfully will not be repeated.

Not stating that 90 points isn't good but let's not kid ourselves that this Liverpool side that lost its first game of the season in the end of Feb and had dropped only two points prior will not reach that. They are having a one off season and that should not be understated but they aren't invincible that's for sure.

Then you can laugh at all the people who are poorer than you because obviously you can’t mock anyone that’s richer than you!
Please explain where wealth is mentioned. Since my original response was deemed too personal. I hadn't realised a sense of humour was frowned upon.

Fecking hell 18 months of success and suddenly your last 30 years are forgotten.

I've always been crap at history. Never know where it ends and current affairs start. Thankfully posters on here have always been very helpful and instructive with visual representations and diagrams in my 18 years as a member.

I'm preparing the 'Last appeared on EastEnders' and 'Cars that we were last driving' homework up front for May's exam time. ;)

I was aiming it at the guy you were quoting who suggested that you were only allowed to mock someone from a position of strength. Not aimed at you at all buddy.

It’s hilarious how hard the pool fans are trying to pretend that loss doesn’t bother them. Even if they win out from here, they’ll still be tainted with “yeah but you got beat”. Only way to beat arsenals season is stay unbeaten but finish with more points.

We lost two games in 2008/2009 and did the double over you. Does that mean we were better than you that season?

"We didn't want to remain unbeaten anyway"

He's such a tosspot.
None of them didn't mention wining the league. None of them mention winning the CL. None of them me mention wining the world club cup.
What do they fecking talk about?
Must be one hell of boring wankers!

It's strange that you would come on here and claim that every one of Utd's PL wins were "tainted" with "yeah but you got beat". You can't go spouting rubbish like this on here. :nono: Utd had some truly great teams and the fact that none of them went unbeaten for a whole season doesn't diminish their PL wins one bit.

At no point in any of those seasons was there such a fan/media furore about being unbeatable.

You wont be spouting anything on here soon, so go in peace.
