I didn't watch them against United or any of the other games they dropped points in recently but they looked very good and comfortable against Chelsea yesterday (who admittedly were without their two main goal scoring threats but still).

We’ve basically played like we did against Chelsea since our forwards went down. Pretty solid defence and able to progress into the final third almost at will… and then completely run out of ideas.
Trossard’s form has fallen off a cliff, Martinelli is out of position on the right and Merino is a midfielder playing up front. He’s not even an attacking midfielder playing as a false nine. He’s just a regular old central midfielder playing as a striker for the first time in his career.
At least Nwaneri will be an adult the next time we play so he can get changed in the dressing room with the rest of the squad and hear the team talk.

I think their focus will now be the off-field stuff and whether Salah, VVD and TAA stay or go. If at least two of those three are leaving at the end of the season, there will be a bittersweet tinge to the title celebrations.
I can definitely see Liverpool dropping some points away to Fulham, Brighton and Chelsea. They also have Arsenal to play.

He quite obviously won't lose that lead. They've been great in the league and hardly ever drop points against weaker teams, not so great in the cups because they can be beaten by a decent team (or Plymouth) on a good day a PSG, Newcastle and multiple teams in the league have proven by now.

His team look completely shattered so the break has come at the right time for them. Would be interesting to see how they turn up against Everton who themselves have their tails up a bit
I reckon it's more likely the gap will be even larger come the end of the season than the other way around. Wouldn't surprise me if Forest end up in 2nd place. Arsenal will be focused on the CL from here, Arteta's silly claims notwithstanding.
Lucky for him his opposition is so shit. Any semi competent title challenging team would be a threat but sadly there is none this year. Liverpool are a strange bunch, not the first time they've burned out at this stage of the year.
That would be quite the meltdown. I think it would be quite tight had Arsenal not had their front line all crocked, but they just can't score enough to challenge.
I don't get the impression the Pool players really like him from what I have seen of them, he seems such a negative energy cnut. At least with Klopp, as much as we disliked him, you could see how much of a motivator he was for them and how much energy he gave to the team. Slot just seems like a really dislikeable guy.
If Scumpool are going to win the league then Covid year and bascially having won it since September are the 2 best ways for them to have done so. (Nothing worse than a rival winning the league on the last day) Both titles have been anticlimactic trophy lifts that no neutral even cares about. This is a very easily forgotten season for about 18 of the 20 Prem teams so won’t live long in anyones memory.

Their actual performances have been generally poor ever since Tarkowski scored in the 96th minute to deny them a famous last win at Goodison. I think that has impacted them mentally even if they will still comfortably win the league.
I think it was the next game they were 2-0 up v Wolves and then were clinging on at the end and didn't even have a single shot in the second half. Same for most of the game at PSG and yesterday for first hour they didn't do anything in attack.
This was a right hand side with TAA unavailable and Salah anonymous so gives warning for next season given neither will be at the club most likely.
Going to need a big transfer window as Robertson declining on the other flank and I get the feeling they might cash in on Diaz.

@FootballHQ that Wolves game really set the alarm bells ringing. They were atrocious and absolutely battered in the second half.

Only partly true, that. We've had Newcastle and City in the league after that Wolves game and those were two very convincing wins against strong opposition. Also had strong spells against PSG at home - so it's not like it's been a continuous downward spiral ever since Everton, just a whole lot more up and down than the beginning of the season.
Any good inbound transfer will be an upgrade on Robertson, and I think we'll just ride with Bradley for at least one season to replace TAA. Don't know what VVD will do but him staying would be huge for us, not sure if Konate is ready to lead the defensive line (yet or ever will be). Midfield will be unchanged and that might be the most important thing. Our attack is what worries me, Jota and Diaz are not good enough (and/or can't be relied upon) and I think Salah is off (and Nunez but whatever), so that's an entire new front three that we need, with probably limited money available (we were already backtracking in the media last week that Kerkez at £40m would be too expensive).
Still deserves credit for that and it's not like we've been bad since the turn of the year or anything like that. If I look at our results only last night (inexcusable, dreadful performance), PSG away (overwhelmed and overclassed) and Wolves (inexplicable decline in second half) stand out as down games, with none of those results costing us any points in the league.
It wouldn't surprise me if we came out playing well again after the international break, get 12 out of 12 and are almost uncatchable by Easter. But sadly it also wouldn't surprise me if we draw against Everton then lose at Craven Cottage and the gap is suddenly only 7 points.
