Hopefully the very last time we'll ever see the unholy triumvirate of migs, Albert and Lovren starting a game together.

None of them will be missed when they go.

Fabinho is like a midfield version of Lindelof, scuttles about, looks frail and can’t pass for toffee.

Kieta, completely unremarkable so far, very passive and not as advertised.

Did you see Hazard making our Capo look like daffy duck chasing a rat? Fecking hell, give the armband to VVD ffs.

No surprise with that horrific throwback of a backline starting, they can never keep a clean sheet or see out a game. Reminiscent of so many games in last couple of years, chances galore eventually score first, and then collapse with about ten minutes to go.

How dare you. Just a few weeks past we had posters declaring him the signing of the season!

Keita Shaqiri Sturridge and Clyne all had pretty good games.
Fabinho and Mignolet meh not great not terrible. Couple of good things couple bad.
Moreno was awful Hazard got nothing till he switched to his side.

Thankfully it’ll be a much changed backline on Saturday, the intensity was good but that combination of defenders gives me nightmares.

Don't really care about the League Cup but Chelsea will gain some confidence from that.

I actually agree. Right now, both don't get into our strongest eleven. Keita is clearly talented, but absolutely lacks consistent influence or conviction in any game he currently plays in. Far too early to judge but he hasn't lived up to the billing yet. I think if we had not had a great start to the season he'd be getting Pogba like scrutiny.

Disappointed to drop a winning position, but overall I thought we played well and created plenty of chances. Fabinho had some good moments, if he gets up to speed he can be a real presence. No particular calamity in defence, undone by a set piece and some Hazard brilliance. Playing that back 5 as a group consistenly is disastrous, but dropping the odd individual in a 1st team game occassionally wont hurt as much especially against the lesser sides who dont have the likes of Hazard. Studge did well too as in the PSG game, unlucky with that horror miss but scored a good one to make up for it.

Next game is the one that counts, need at least a point from the bridge.

To some extent I do, it would be nice to win it. At the end of the day winning cups is fun and all teams want to win them.

Would i be gutted if we went out to chelsea this evening? Not really, we are both going with our second teams and got one eye on the weekend fixture.

Im pretty sure James Milner will be gutted this morning. After all he joined Liverpool because he wanted more trophies and was nothing to do with the huge signing on fee he got.

Of course it was Jimmy

Was feeling sick watching the game. Can't believe we had to see them together for more than one game each season in the past. Morata should have finished us way earlier then it wouldn't even feel like a heartbreak.

Van Dyke has turned their defense into an impenetrable fortress. Too bad Mane and Moreno can't defend for toffee

I genuinely think I could beat Moreno with the ball at my feet. Hell, I think my granddad could.

Van Dyke is good but when you have headless chickens like Moreno giving Hazard free reign you're bound to concede.

I mean he is our third-choice LB at this point. Kinda unsure as to why he's still here, honestly.

It will be a lot longer than the second or third week of the season I assure you.

Yeah, like van Dijk's statement that you can win the Quadruple after beating PSG? That's going well.

Each time Liverpool get overconfident or make statements like these, they slip up. Better be careful.

I’ve not been impressed by either so far, but we’re fortunate that Milner and Wijnaldum have played so well. It’s taken the pressure off of Keita and Fabinho.

Great stuff. Now Chelsea need to take points off them in the PL too.

I think they have done a good job improving the squad but there is only so much one can do. Moreno, mignolet, lovren and Matip should give united fans reason to think they won't win much.

Easiest chance to win a trophy gone. More pressure on Klopp and Liverpool to win the League or the Champions League. A season without a trophy after all the time given and money spent will be such a failure.

Indeed. I'm at the point where Milner is fast becoming the player I'd most like to get a 3 match ban because he's that important to your midfield.

Leeds, city and Liverpool, the unholy trinity of horrible clubs and he's played for them all.

Keita started very promisingly, but has since gone into his shell. Plays like he's not sure what the hell he got himself into here.

Haven't seen this place so happy this season, just imagine what it'll be like when we actually lose a game that matters.

Can't wait till Saturday.

Don't get me wrong Kieta has shown some quality as an attacking threat with his dribbling but I was expecting an indomitable complete midfielder from the hype before hand. That said, I'm not writing him off as it early days.

I think Fabinho is a dud though, similar to Bakayoko, he just isn't cut out for a higher level than the French league.

Why wouldn't we be? We are shit but the all conquering Liverpool (who actually haven't conquered anything yet) lost at home last night in their first cup competition. It's a reason smile with all the nonsense happening between Jose and Pogba.

You not enjoying our misery since Sir Alex left? Or are you one of the saintly exalted ones who is above all this internet forum nonsense?

Just calling it as I see it, not saying what you guys should or shouldn't do ;)

I really do enjoy your misery and all the off the field troubles with Pogba and Mourinho, although I wouldn't mind it if you became competitive again (without winning anything of course).

We have won the FA cup, the League cup and Europa even in this tough period. We are competitive. Just not competitive enough for a club our stature.

I hope Liverpool win a at least a small trophy in this "golden period" for the club......nah, actually I don't. :smirk:
