Well, I didn't know that. Fecking scousers bought the refs. The FA are trying to give them the title. Wankers. Diving Salah git.

Just for the record, I don't think anyone here is challenging the refs decision to award a penalty, it was the way Salah went down like he'd been shot after minimal contact that pissed people off.

That Robben and Ribery diving compalition is amazing. Some of them are so hilariously bad.

Im a huge Robben fan, but he's one of the biggest divers in history. Mexicans still harping about no era penal still give me endless joy though.

Because in the end, divers suck, unless they help your team win a football match, am I right?

Ps: comparing Salah to Neymar

First time I was able to watch a full match of the Scouses this season. They won ugly today but nothing really stood out as a point of excellence. Their defence was broken by weakish forwards and their midfield looked full of holes at times. They held off Brighton but compared to their previous high scoring meetings I thought they looked scrappy and even panicky at times. Not convinced they will win the league on performances like that.

They've been like this all season. Not playing anything special at all but getting the win. Don't get me wrong, you make your own luck and they're obviously usually better, if only slightly sometimes, but they don't half get the rub too. Certainly doesn't even out so much with them. They've had so much of it since the CL stuff last season.

Another thing I dislike, however, I'm on a united forum so fair enough.

But, the league isn't Liverpools. I know you all want us to fail etc but very few Liverpool fans are saying the league is ours.

As a collective your fans are cockier than ever. They're desperately trying to not look stupid like has happened so often before, but clearly think Liverpool are God's gift to football after half a season of admittedly very good but seriously flawed football.

Saying it's luck is what a lot of United fan's and other rival fans are telling themselves to cope with us being good. We've let in 10 goals in 22 games is that sheer luck as well? Similar to how fans used to say Howard Webb was a United fan.

I said you often have more than your fair share of the rub of the green. I didn't say it's all luck. And I've said you have an excellent defence since before it was an accepted train thought on here.

Last season you played some scary football but weren't smart about it. This season you get the job done but it doesn't look anything like convincing a lot of the time. Of course the mark of a league winning side is grinding out some results, but surely not most of them?

I for one can't wait for Mike Riley to lift the premiership trophy for us in May.

Probably means Milner at RB for the next few games.

One or two weeks after we got rid of Clyne, serves us right for such a dumb move.

Milner will do his job but that's the only cover we have and it means one engine less in midfield. Hopefully Gomez is fit again in a week or two as he can also provide cover if needed.

You do need some luck to win the title though . Hopefully City will stop them but if not they deserve to be champions

The fixture list from PSG away to City away was brutal and the consequences might become apparent in the second part of the season. Not being in the FA cup might help, time will tell.

I think he probably made it worse playing on against Brighton when he should’ve been subbed.

Shouldn’t have to accommodate the defence with midfielders, when the players for that position were already there in the squad like Clyne to cover this. Ridiculous. The midfield will be changed up now aswell.

Agreed but that's the difference between our squad and City's. They could have 4 or 5 injuries and still roll teams over. It only takes a few injuries for us and our lack of squad depth is exposed. Should of just kept Clyne who cares if he was going to be unhappy for 4-5 months.

Most fouls have contact only that the victim exaggerate the impact of the contact.
The way Liverpool fans talked about Neymar's embellishment vs PSG, I find it hypocritical they are now twisting and turning to justify Salahs
When most Liverpool fans were arguing that Neymar was diving here after being kicked by #26 or the VVD sweep kick

Yes, what a surprise that fans aren't turning on their own players because idiotic pundits and rival fans think that someone has gone down easy. I, for one, am shocked.

Isn't Matip back for the next game? I'm sure Fabinho has also played RB in the past

Sending out Clyne on loan was the dumbest football decision I've seen from this club in years.

A club like City could handle this injury 'crisis'...not sure Liverpool can. Will certainly test them!

Starting to get some injuries now but nothing bad. The main men remain fit. Salah and Van Dijk.

That is saying something considering you lot did this as a team building exercise

I explicitly said football decision to avoid comparisons with that, which is something I consider far more egregious than a simple football transfer blunder.

They have a run of easy games with their next 4, 3 at home to Palace, Leicester and Bournemouth. Maybe West Ham away can get something but I highly doubt. Expect them to pick 12/12 points. We really need to beat them on the 24th Feb. That is our cup final.

OR maybe a fecking cup final we be our cup final, you small time gowl.

They'll be fine. Milner is a more than reasonable replacement.

Takes us quite a lot closer to seeing Albie come in on the other side though. I hope Robbo doesn't pick up a knock.

They are strong at home but they are unlikely to retain a winning record there with the way they are playing. I reckon Leicester can draw with them even at Anfield, as can West Ham away. That might be enough for City to catch up to them a bit.

You think that despite the fact that we’ve not dropped points to anyone outside the top six this season?

Also prior to City away we were playing fairly well. Old Trafford is where I think we might drop points next.

Yes, you have a strong record. Don't deny that, and I think you will get close to maximum points in the upcoming fixtures in good form. But I feel a couple of points will be dropped along the way.

I think palace will beat them. Every season, they have a couple of unreal away performances where their team just clicks and everyone plays well. This will be one of those occasions.

Palace is the last team to beat Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League.

With the previous history and this thread jinx, fully expect to hear about a long term injury to VVD in next couple of days.:nervous:
And then we can all agree to copy this heading into Man City thread.

West Ham have beaten Utd and Arsenal this season at home , that game could be a tricky one for them hopefully.
