Liverpool 2014/15 | WARNING: Contains strong amounts of Scouse nonsense

Since we rocked up at Anfield, they've lost 4 games and drawn one, winning a grand total of NONE.

The best thing about the gif above is that guy in the red jumper who reacts 30 seconds after everyone else

Sorry, but I just couldn't resist posting this again. Will it ever get old?

Bastard!
I always end up studying this for ages, because it keeps giving new gifts.
Its like examining a Where's Wally, without actually looking for him.

Indeed. I've only just spotted the guy that instantly leaves and the guy in blue getting pissed of at him being shrugged on the process.

If we lose Coutinho, we're all kinds of fecked. If we lose Sterling and invest in other areas of the pitch, we can play Markovic/Ibe in his position, and yeah we may lose a bit, but overall we'll improve.

If we lose Coutinho, we're just... It's not even worth considering. He is, by far, our best player. No-one else comes close for overall creativity.

I think you guys overrate Coutinho's ability, or at least his importance. He's incredibly inconsistent, goes on a nice run now and then but can also be a massive liability on the field. He's not the answer to your problems at all.

Not seen the game or the highlights but this tweet made me crack a smile

I'm not saying he's a world beater, but if you take him out of the squad, our already limited creativity is just shattered to pieces.

He's not even a RB, so lord knows why we play him there when we have enough players to form a back 3/4 in their natural positions :wenger:

Where's the Scouse Cafu been this season?

Yeah, he Can looks decent but I don't even recall him playing in midfield

Can should play as defensive midfielder.

No he shouldnt. He should play as central midfielder/b2b. I said it a thousand times but I do it again: Can is a fantastic athlete with good technique, but he lacks intelligence/discipline. His decision making is simply shocking at times. If you use him as DM he´ll be caught out of position too often.

Can should play as defensive midfielder.

It's not even a question. It's the position he's always played... Well, until he joined us, that is. Might as well have kept Danny Agger as it stands right now :wenger:

The positions Can has been played in has just confused me. I guess I understood the 'ball playing' CB role, but he clearly isn't a RB. Rodgers is just being moronic with that decision. He should be developing him as a midfielder.

In a way similar to last year, they are almost certain to get that Europa League spot this time around. Another slip coming up?

Just read this on BBC. Fecking appalling from LFC point of view.

Their specialist strikers (Daniel Sturridge, Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini) have scored eight Premier League goals between them this season. Everton's back four (Leighton Baines, Seamus Coleman, Phil Jagielka and John Stones) have scored nine.

Where have all the happy slippy people gone? Back in February this was a place of Scouse joy and delusions. Suddenly all the chaps have gone, surely not fair weather fans who only play when they're winning!

Their leader got banned and PickledRed fecks off whenever Liverpool start losing. Some others have started following Barca. It is all very sad :(

Much has been made of Liverpool's poor start but after 10 games they were in 7th, 1 point ahead of us (we were languishing in 10th alongside Everton, Newcastle and west brom).

The fact is they have been mediocre pretty much all season. They had an excellent 10 games or so but by large they have played like a Europa league level team all season long.

Oh dear, fair weather fans indeed. :nono: I agree with banning people who support the Scousers, seems eminently sensible. However, perhaps we should say nice things to encourage them to come back so we can have someone to poke fun at.

Naa it is nice to have opposition fans unless they get into constant wum mode. Barney is/was a nice guy too, don't know why he became such weirdo later. Probably the slip and Palace match hit him hard. We still have some sensible scousers here, hope they stay that way.

For a young man who thinks he is worth alot more than 100k a week, Sterling has been absolutely awful recently.

Barney tried to wum me back in Feb with some of his chaps. I told them their team was not very good but they would persist with their delusions especially after they beat the Bitters. I got a few plaudits for not rising to his bait.

It couldn't happen anyway, the game away to Besiktas told me everything about their squad, their manager, and where it would end. Have to say though, never expected Slippy to show his true metal or that Rodgers would be so thoroughly entertaining; and their fans so emotional, raining tears like monsoons when their bubble bursts. 25 seasons and no light at the end of the tunnel - actually that's our train!!

Just read that Everton's back 4 have scored more goals than Liverpool's 4 strikers...

Nah, Barney was always a total WUM. He just hid it better than most for longer.

Edit: He was worse before Liverpool fell apart too, on one occasion he tagged a bunch of Liverpool fans to back him up in an argument, while baiting someone. The constant baiting and then crying victim when people called him out was beyond boring and got more frequent as the season progressed last season. He'd actively rub people up the wrong way, in the lion's den, and then whine when he got bit.

He's certainly making it easier for Liverpool to sell him to City or Arsenal

I've seen people talk about the squad like its in ruins which is a bit off the mark I think. We've got a decent core of players, and some young players who haven't performed to expectations this season (Moreno, Markovic etc) but who are obviously talented and so who deserve the benefit of the doubt on a difficult first season. The problems this season, top to bottom, is that we messed up the striking situation. Our defence has improved immesurably but for some reason we bought strikers who don't fit the way we play and aren't good enough for us to change our team around. The problem in the summer is buying better quality stikers, easier said than done admittedly, and our performances next season will be a lot better. It's certainly not a broken squad at the minute. I've seen enough in my time to know that.

I will first defend Sterling, in a team of mediocrity he has been carrying us as best he could all season much like Henderson.

However, for such an unthreatenging 'goal threat' he's as dangerous as a kitten with a ball of wool. If he thinks he's anything over 100k a week he can feck right off.

It did? I think it has looked more solid or less prone to conceding after switch to 3-4-3 but it might be because of extra protection while defending. The defending in 2nd of half of season has been overall better than first half but I doubt it can be called 'immeasurable' improvement because Liverpool still don't look assured when defending.
