Tony Adams went to jail for drunk driving.

A famous french rap song, sorry for the off topic there :p.
When was the last time a truly superstar of a footballer spent serious time in jail ?

Not a true superstar although he was the most expensive player in Britain at one point, Duncan Ferguson spent three months in jail for a headbutt during a game against Raith Rovers.

This probably should go in a Fabio Capello thread - however as Messi is getting the headlines I'll put it here.

This week, Messi and lots of other famous people (including Neymar) were playing a benefit match in Peru. Capello was the manager. This being, "Friends of Messi," playing - Messi's own family and friends were there, including two of his brothers who decided to sit in the dugout.

So far, so good? Not really. Capello decided to order Messi's relations to leave the dugout. When they failed to move he called the police to escort them. Messi was not amused, and decided to get subbed off. So much for a fun match for charity.

To add to the fun, the next match of his charity tour was to be played in LA - but he cancelled due to as yet unspecified problems with the event managers, who in turn have unspecified problems with Messi's managers.

To be fair, Messi can have a cry, why were his friends and family in the dugout? Maybe he should have asked the COACH if it was okay before doing it. Common sense perhaps. Also, how is Capello a friend of Messi exactly? His teams biggest rivals new manager. Yeah, lots of love.

That's Ancelotti mate.

wasn't it a charity match? If so then what's Capello's problem? it's a bit of fun to raise money.Twat.

Messi's brothers along with Neymar's Dad and children of Mario Yepes were removed by Peruvian police and escorted out of the stadium. Douche of Capello

The LA cancellation was an unrelated issue stemming from the failure of the promoters to get much right with the charity event - least of which was ensuring there was actually money to give to Messi's foundation for children. Saturday's match in Chicago is a different promoter but they too have bottled preparations with only about 25k tickets sold - apparently neither of the promoters in LA or Chicago did much publicity and few knew about the event outside of the diehard fans

It does look like it was the promoters taking advantage of the public. In no place it mentions that Messi had compromised to meet those fans.

More troubles for Messi as he's forced to endorse Goal.com:

Stop overreacting everyone. We would bid until we reach £35 million, and expect that to be Barca's final valuation; it's genius United bidding logic.

Yeah right, like if we bid you'd hear about it first on Redcafe.

You'd hear about it well before that from the van Moyes & Woodie would be driving round the streets with a massive PA system on top anouncing the bid to the world.

Now you're being silly... It will clearly be in a plane with trailing banner, saying "We' have bid for Lionel Messi. Things are ongoing"

Not that it's football related, but supposedly the woman in this picture isn't his wife. Tancredi Palmer said that there are "more explicit images than that."

He gets away with far more antics than Ronaldo. If Ronaldo's friends/family had been tossed out of a charity match, people would be bitching and moaning pointing the finger at Ronaldo.

That photo's while his wife and baby were on their hols with Cesc and Mrs Cesc on Ibiza.

Ah well, next summer he won't be able to get into trouble, he'll be busy working.

Why? Your opinion has Giggs has gone up since the news of his affair?

I wasnt being serious Amol. I do like players that have a mean streak to their game and are a bit of a cnut but it has nothing to do with cheating on their partners.

Just saying but those pics don't really prove anything, do they? Other than he might still want to be breastfeeding at this day and age etc.

Yeah it doesnt show an awful lot except his face is almost buried in a set of titties. Hes got his legs parted and shes pretty much getting into a nice straddling style position as if she may be just about to dry hump the leg off him. He's also sheepishly looking at the camera as if to say ''oh bollox thats me nailed''.

Ah yeah nothing to see here at all says you.

That could be Pique, wearing a wig for all you know! ;)

How it's that going against him? If anything, he was mad at Capello for doing that, and left the pitch.

would be brilliant if it turns out to be a photoshop after Marcello and other serial haters shooting their load early
