So a Pep biography that is not composed out of first hand information from the man himself but from the gossip pages for Marca and co?

Sounds legit.

Plus, ratface is a well known Asspanyol supporter. I mean, how unbiased could he really be? It'd be like a City reporter from a gossip paper writing a biography on someone from United.

I'm no lawyer, but how is it possible to write a biography on someone - who you've not even interviewed and not face a lawsuit?

Does it have something to do with just writing everything in the 3rd person (as a "opinion") & obviously (or one would hope!) no direct quotes will be in the book?

My understanding was that he was given permission or access to some of the club but never had any 1on1 with Pep. Which also meant Pep had no say in terms of final approval or not. Strange, I know. Basically, he pieced together a story through innuendo and anecdotes from a variety of sources - none of them straight from the horse's mouth

He must have reliable sources most of these journalists tend to. Our do you think he would bring out a book of pure hearsay. I think the bulk of the facts will be true but we will never know really. There is a reason stories leak somebody is always ready to talk.

The first goal was a screamer. He also assisted another and won his own penalty.

It's funny how he makes greatness look mundane. The first goal is an absolute cracker and yet because it's Messi.. it just looks kinda meh. If that was Rooney scoring it, it would suddenly look like the White Pele was back.

Too bad he'll be in prison until he's 32.

The word on the street says: Now he's remembered he forgot to pay 10m in extra tax in 2010 and 2011, he's shortly expected to remember about the 4m from 2007/9. They think his lawyers will open negotiations with the tax office this week with a view to paying the old tax and agreeing a fine - probably another 10m.

No jail time for him or his dad if it doesn't go to trial.

So technically speaking he should be entering his prime in the next couple of years...

Cruyff needs to learn to belt up sometimes, claiming Barcelona could now sell Messi as he's with Adidas whilst Neymar is with Nike.

This tax evasion fiasco probably means Messi may now never be as popular as Maradona. Hard to be considered a hero when you're seen as a tax evading scumbag.

Haha, this when you consider Maradona himself is wanted in Italy for tax evasion claims and a more controversial figure with the drug abuse and all.
I'm missing something blatant here, am I not? :(

Perez The authorities announced that Messi will spend the prime of his career in prison...unless he agrees to join Real Madrid.

Is it normal for Cruyff to chat bollocks, or do you reckon thats just media spin? As if you would sell Messi to make way for Neymar.:wenger:

He was basically making a point that he didn't agree with the signing of Neymar by saying they don't need both, kind of media spin.

I think he saw trouble ahead with Neymar aboard, Neymar keeps the ball a bit too long and he's like Ronaldo when he joined us... he loves to take a player... and another one :) and to tell you the true that's the beauty of football (if is not your team :D ) and that's what I like to watch. I remember screaming to my tele when Ronaldo was doing his step overs but then if we won I will watch the game again and appreciate his foot work.

Messi agreed to pay 20 millions to tax authorities, on top of the 10 millions he already paid, to avoid trial.

An assumption of guilt then. Ridiculous that this sort of stuff can be smoothed over like that. Crime pays. If you get away with it fine, if you don't get away with it then you can just amend it by paying what you owe. He should pay what he owes, AND go to trial. And so should any other citizen.

A famous french rap song, sorry for the off topic there :p.
When was the last time a truly superstar of a footballer spent serious time in jail ?
