Lionel Messi - Performances

I'm sorry but this guy is just not human. He has no right to be this fecking good.

I thought he was having a fairly average season for him, but didn't realise he still has 47 goals ffs  He's unbelievable

He's mastered those low finishes in the corner from a sidewards coming pass.

Well when he's finally decided to show up, he's unplayable. Owned Ronaldo today, no question.

The amount of doubt he gets when he's not scoring three goals a game and Ronaldo is on a good patch is shocking. He's the best we'll ever see, get that through your heads you numpties.

Absolutely wonderful. Hacked to pieces all game, busted lip and with barely a sniff of goal yet he won the game with both. Marvellous.

If only our strikers had his boots. fecks sake.

31 goals and I'm thinking he's having a shit season. What was I smoking?

There should be a meme of Messi captioned 'this isn't even my final form!'

I can't imagine any player in the history being better than him.

That was some goal to win the game, only place he could have scored and he found it.

Can't people write him off based on midweek.

Too many casual La Liga watchers who see him play 4-5 times a season and judge him based on that.

Comfortably better than Ronaldo overall.

Genuinely feel sorry for the next generation who will have missed seeing him play.

Wow, such a magical player, left speechless yet again. At his best he's still ridiculously superior, and quite comfortably so.

Brilliant allround performance, showed a lot of heart.

He carries this Barcelona team.

That's a statement that a lot of people will scoff at, but it's something I've believed for some time now.

It's an intriguing question though - does the success of the Barca style/philosophy depend on having a Messi-like talent in it?

Today, he showed all those skills people said he had lost this last week
