Lionel Messi - Performances

I think he profits a lot in that regard from having Suarez and Neymar in the team. Opposition teams just can't afford to have 2-3 players being occupied with trying to stop him at all times, which gives him more space.

Doesn't really matter how many players you have on him. He takes the piss with them in any case.

It was never a penalty today, also it's sad that we never actually needed that penalty. Neymar missed it, and somehow by proper fluke the ball ends up back in the net. But those free kicks are amazing. I think this will be a new weapon now.

Messi seems to be very unlucky with free-kicks. The amount of free-kicks he hit on the cross bar is ashtonishing.

Good chance he'll be starting against Espanyol on the 6th? I've got tickets for the game, and I can't contain my excitement at the prospect of seeing him live in action.

Always a good chance he starts but definitely in a derby

It was pure agony. Every time he touched the ball I shat my pants.
I had a chance to watch him a few years a go when Chelsea played Barcelona. Fell out with my dad though and stubbornly refused to go. Kinda regret it now knowing I wont get to see him live again.

When he got sent off? del Horno wind-up? I've made it my immediate life ambition to see him live. You're a couple of hours away from Barcelona, why don't you just go?

Forgot to include that in my New Years resolutions but I will be going to as many matches as possible in 2016 - never know if we'll see anything like this again

No, 2012.

I don't really have the money right now to just hop on a plane to Barcelona and watch him. Best bet is waiting for another CL tie between Chelsea and Barca.

Hope you're able to save up and go soon then :P

I'm sure I will eventually see him, just not in his prime I imagine. Barca fans are the luckiest SoB's in football.

Hoping to see him if he is the Argentina Centennial Copa in the States this summer. Just so that one day I can tell my grandkids how much better he was than Darknet Bot 01129xbn75

Looks like it got a deflection and lousy keeping.

yeah, shit goal really. would not watch again.

Well lucky you. Perfect match to see him live:)

Can't imagine anyone in the history to be better than him. It just seems impossible. Such a perfect player.

Some of his passing against Espanyol.
