We should have scored 2/3 more goals in this match, missed quite a few easy goals. Neymar needs to forget his fancy stuffs and concentrate being efficient.

To be fair he has been for the most part his season.

Neymar only attempts the fancy stuff after we go ahead in the scoreline. But yes, he needs to cut it out for the most part.

He has been ridiculously good these past couple of months. I don't think there are other players in the world who have this great understanding like Messi and Neymar do.
On current form, easily and by far the best in the world.

That's why never do him justice. His passing is outrageously good.

He's been incredible since the turn of the year. Well and truly back to his best.

Yep, in the last 2 months he's the only player across Europe's top 5 leagues to have scored as many league goals as Harry Kane .. so hats off, that's some going!

I actually love that move. Here's a couple of old ones I thought were great

18 year old Messi vs Roberto Carlos

From the same game vs Carlos and Cannavaro, couple of months before Cannavaro received his Ballon D'or

11 games into the new year:

14 goals
7 assists

Including the 3 goals 1 assist for the ongoing match. Looks like Messi is back to his best.

I'd say he was back to his best from pretty much as soon as the season started.

Messi on a resurgent form. Curious to see how Kompany and Mangala will handle him. (or how beat up they'll be, who knows)

Another hattrick? Wow!
Hope he scores another against City!!

Stats are just numbers, you may interpret in any way you like. Doesn't mean this will continue whole season, but it's by itself amazing that we get this after playing quiet a few games.

Never wasn't the best player. Now he's back to the "it's bloody obvious" levels.

Shame he isn't an efficient 90-95% penalty taker to jack up the stats more.

Different class.

Keep clogging his space with hundreds of defenders? He'll just put the guy on the opposite flank through on goal instead.

Really dismantled the mighty Levante today.

TBF, it didn't need any Messi-esque performance today. Levante were very poor. If his finishing were to his usual standards, he could have scored 5 himself. But that's not the context here, we are talking about this season so far. He's just showing his versatility in playing in any part of the attacking half, again..

I would say that the 'dinked/lobbed' passes for onrushing wide players across the box should be termed as Messi-pass from now!

Better than performing poorly against the mighty Deportivo, right Cal?
Did I say anywhere that "he" had a good game yesterday? Just find it quite funny how "some people" are so quick to go OTT with their Messi praising, perhaps they'd consider waiting till he plays some big games in the CL or at least tops the scoring charts?
