Agree, it was just to highlight what Alexis was on and what we'll be putting Lingard on and the gap in quality - Alexis will definitely be on £200k+ for his last big contract but I'd rather get him and pay that than put Lingard on £100k!

I'm certain this is Woodward's idea of flexing our financial muscles and preparing for a tough transfer window if we miss out on CL. I think he'll look at the value and see that the market has increased, if medicority is now worth a 100K then world class has to be worth more than it was a year ago. Worse still is a player like Isco or Fabinho will no longer be seeing 120k a week as substantial when they see the type of level that is already getting a 100k a week.
