Ligue 1 | French Football 2017/18

Lemar has such a wonderful balance. We should be looking at players like this heading towards their prime.

Likes to go centrally like all our other players though, every pass of play I've seen from him so far is him cutting inside or going centrally.

Really not a LW even if he lines up as one.

I hope people see how high Fabinho plays.

Feck me, watching other leagues really makes you appreciate the intensity and hustle of the PL.

Not exactly edge of the seat stuff this.

All those players don't have that low centre of gravity and balance you want from the central players though. Mata for example is perfect for teams that sit deep. He can't lose his marker, can't turn a defender, etc. All our so called central players/10s don't have that poise you want from players who help you open teams up from the middle, with the possible exception of Mkhitarian.

Besides these days proper width is always given by fullbacks.

The PL has plenty of slow boring games. This game's been great so far. Nothing wrong with the intensity at all.

August 4. Like 30° heat, 80% humidity

Yeah I guess you are right, match has been a bit of a letdown compared to the free-flowing Monaco I often saw last season though.

Guess losing all those players will take some adjusting.

It's no different to last years early CL games.

Monaco have been exerting more and more control over the game since Toulouse's strong start.

They've not done all that much with that control so far, though.

New season, and still Sidibé finds new ways to let you down.

As great as Sidibe is attacking wise he can single-handedly lose you the game with his defensive lapses.

English commentators got a bit excited about Mbappe possibly seriously injuring himself. Weird.
