Aren't you reading the papers then?? Or listening to the radio.
Even United fans have been slating him.
And if you think it doesn't matter, it does, because Keano could have made people listen.
But I hope it's a storm in a teacup that will blow over. And I hope Keano doesn't have any long term effects from it all.

Keano did the right thing as a captain and spoke up for the team, McCarthy who's been a twat and lost plenty of respect, oh hold on he did'nt have any but Keano did the right thing and its not his fault his country are a bunch of amatuers, would you get England in economy class ffs.
For anyone who really see's the full story he has won respect

Oh and another thing, why is a welsh twat like yourself so passionate about Roy Keane anyway?Ive never heard such bullshit in all my life.Roy Keane alongside Zidane is the best player in the world, who loves playing for his country with a driving passion-he is the single biggest reason why Ireland are playing in Japan at all. These are the facts and these are the reasons why Keane should be playing.Mccarthy was never a justifiable choice as manager, any other country and he would have been sacked a long time ago,his ineptness and downright inability to manage have been exposed on numerous occasions.Keanes complaints were 100% justified ,however they have never seriously been addressed.Keane is a true winner and he would have taken this team far in the World Cup,now that has been taken away-the final and most damaging act of Mccarthys inability to manage the Irishteam. Also the Fai have alot to answer for

You're missing the point.
It's not about whether Keane was right or not. It's about the fact that by his actions - right or wrong - Keane is missing out on the world cup.
You can't fight the system. Sad but true.

Agreed red pat. Davo has the utmost integrity. He always puts his head before his heart. Unforgiving to those who believe in the best that thier captain can be. Roy is passionate and maybe out of order, but if this meeting took place as a clear the air type of meeting as is reported then only the FAI and MM can be to blame. Say what you will DAVO, I dont care if Keano showed up in a nappy crying and swearing this meeting should have been left behind closed doors. When it comes down to it MM made the mistake of his career and unfortunately another united player will be forever remember negatively in regards to the world cup. But as I said we all know that DAVO would definately say OWEN or HESKY should be sent home under similiar circumstances because he is INTEGRITY.

Of course I'd say they should be sent home in similar circumstances...to argue differently would be stupid..
I note you're arguing differently...

People are quoting him as calling Mick a "fecking Wanker" repeatedly, how has this information got out of a "clearing the air sesion"?
Whenever I have had a clearing the air session it is generally a case of allowing people to get things off their chest without fear of recrimination so that progress can be made afterwards, they are certainly not quotable and especially not reported to the press.
This all sounds to me like a set up by Mcarthy who could surely not have expected Keano to back down, he isn't that stupid is he?

Look Bury,
Whatever the circumstances are, you cannot say that to your manager, be it in football or in business. You may be as good as you want to be, but you'll find yourself looking for a new job.
And in this case it was made even worse by the fact that his collegues were there. Put any manager with any player in that situation and the decision is the same. Be it McCarthy-Keane, Busby-Charlton, Ferguson-Beckham, Houllier-Owen or whatever.
Whatever the situation was, calling your manager names is not going to sort things. And caling him an 'English cnut', a 'crap manager' and things like that is just plain stupid.
