Let's finish this Jigsaw!

That's my opinion anyway GH.

In my perfect muppet-world, we'd get Ramos & Otamendi as our CB's & Cavani & Lacazette as our Strikers.

Never gonna happen of course, but as many of those & i'd be delighted - especially those CB's to make us so solid, now we have a midfield that's gonna shield them & support the attack..
The muppet is strong in you!

Im really not sure if we will striker or try and make do with what we have.. Still, we definitely need a keeper and probably a centre back.

This is what people are overlooking, we don't need another high profile striker because we will be playing with only one. Hernandez/new striker and Wilson will play when Rooney can not. Fellaini, who I think will be struggling for games in midfield, will play there when we are in dire straits.

Now we simply need to close the CB signing and declare our transfer business, both incoming and outgoing (after getting rid of Evans and Rafael), done.

Thats actually a good point, playing him up there is not ideal but if it gets to the point where all our strikers are injured he can do a job for us.

Van Gaal also said he plans to possibly play Memphis there.

I have to see how we solve this problem and it is also one of the reasons that we have bought Memphis. You remember that he has played in the striker's position also in the Dutch team.

We might have the quantity but we are certainly lacking in quality.

Just because we decide to spend few pounds doesn't mean we should abandon our policy. I will be more proud if likes of McNair were given the chance to grow. The defense will be different this season especially with a more solid midfield and the presence of Morgan.

The central defence is not as pressing as the strikers position in the team. I think, fitness permitting, Smalling and Jones will do the job for us as first-choice. I'd like us to add one, especially as they are injured a lot and Evans and Rojo are rubbish to varying degrees.

I do fear though, that we are building a state of the art structure around a 15 goal striker though, and that is my biggest concern. Not only that, but we are also (seemingly), removing all viable competition from the squad for this 15 goal striker, which is not healthy in itself. I know Falcao was poor, and RVPs powers were waning - but they at least were of a stature in world football that you couldn't really justify benching them if they are performing better than another. If Wilson has a good couple of games, he can easily be bullied and dropped. I don't like this notion that we basically should strengthen our attack, 'but not with a very, very good player because we don't want somebody better than Rooney'. How does that help us?

Yes if Rooney is out with a long-term injury, we are in deep shit!
