Implying it wasn't already.PSG is going to be one soulless football club for the next few weeks.

Their defending was atrocious, they certainly did not play terrific for 180 minutes. And maybe Cavani and Di Maria missed their chances because they bottled itCavani or Di Maria converts late and their 'bottle job' becomes PSG ends an era - the fickle nature of fans
PSG earned every goal they converted and played terrific for nearly every moment over 185+ minutes against Barcelona, nothing to be ashamed of IMHO. But this is always the refrain, Barca win then opposition bottled it - Barca lose, they are on the decline. Extremely unfair to both clubs
Apparently Zlatan was the reason they didn't do well in the UCL.Oh what a remarkable bunch of bottlers... Absolute bottlers..
And people said PSG have improved in absence of Zlatan
Neymar taking the piss out of Kurzawa and Rabiot's instagram post after the first leg. Kurzawa seems to enjoy celebrating too early. I remember a French U-21 game against Sweden when he did it on the pitch and was made to look like a total dick.
So, it was all praise for PSG a couple weeks ago. Verrati is the best midfielder in the world. Rabbit and Meunière are top class. Barca are finished and then they comeback which me and a few thought was possible and now PSG sucks and Verrati is overrated. People really need to stop judging games 1 at a time.
He made a peace sign in a picture taken of him in the dressing room.
Really struggle to see what he did wrong there.

Not every missed opportunity is down to bottling it, overly simplistic - in that case, every week players & teams bottle it
Barcelona score in the 3rd minute and then cannot penetrate the deep block of PSG for nearly 40 minutes, until Iniesta creates a goal out of virtually nothing - there's no atrocious defending there
From there, you can't really blame PSG for any of the goals that followed so again, it's naive to reflexively assess PSG as having bottled it because something that has never happened before, did this time. I was impressed with how PSG played throughout the tie, let down perhaps that they defended so deep in the return leg but also understood this was a logical tactic to take considering the advantage. But I always go back to what Pep once said about making your own luck etc., he wants his teams to play open & take risks, to have the courage to go for the win rather than defend a lead
I am still in absolute shock to this.
One of the most INSANE capitulations I have ever witnessed in football.
Obviously there've been teams before who've conceded 6 goals at the Camp Nou. But goals like these? My god. If I was a PSG fan I'd feel completely empty for the next week and I'd probably be done with football till the next season starts.
Hats off to Barca of course. PSG fecked themselves over last night, but Barca still had a huge task to do. To accomplish that with 5 scrappy goals just shows the amount of will power from some of the players that was involved here. Respect for that. Still dislike them though.

Really?? Their defending was awful, you're being very generous. They could also hardly string 2 passes together for most of the game. It was in no way a terrific performance from them. From there, you can't really blame PSG for any of the goals that followed
I'm sorry but Emery bottled it, he made his team play in a way that is opposite to what PSG are good at, he put his players in a defensive mindset and every goals were going to crush their morale. After every goal the sentence "Barcelona is the team able to do a remontada" was going to be louder in their minds, Emery should have let his player play their game, he should have put them in their comfort zone.

And get rolled up even sooner? Easy to be an armchair coach after the fact but with a 4-0 lead, there's logic to not leaving yourself open to being Barca'd at Camp Nou.
If you look at both games you shouldn't be shocked by it, Barcelona did the same thing during the first leg.
And there is logic to not play, like you never do.
Certainly. I'm not shocked in the way of "how?"
I understand completely "how" this type of thing can happen. Emotions, fear and will power play such a huge role in football. If you're insecure, you're going to concede. It's a simple rule.
I'm more shocked by the fact that it was two of the most expensive squads in the world facing each other and still each produced absolutely atrocious of a performance in the away legs where they were each completely gutless. PSG just beat Barcelona 4-0 and should be absolutely brim full of confidence because of that. How do you play with such insecurity after beating them 4-0 in the first leg where Barcelona themselves showed that they can be insecure and gutless as well. They just showed the world and themselves that they can absolutely demolish one of the biggest clubs in the world. And then they go on and do this. Painful.
They played for the counters, there was too much work for Barcelona to do and for 87 minutes that tactic worked so I don't think I am being generous, just honest
Like PSG had never played in the 1st leg or how Barcelona had never played in that leg? Again, easy to be critical after the fact.

Me and my father were watching the game together. He said: "Barca need to score 3 goals in 7 minutes. It's impossible".I had given up at the 87th minute mark.
''The football idiots of Europe" (in short, "Euroidiots") is a popular, ironic name of the Bulgarian football club PFC Levski (Sofia), formerly Vitosha (Sofia). It first appeared in several European media after the match between Royal Antwerp and Levski (UEFA Cup 89/90, 1st round). In this match Levski were leading with 3:1 until the 89th minute and then Antwerp managed to score three goals in the next 5 minutes with 10 men on the field. The match finished 4:3 for Antwerp and they were through after the first leg 0:0 in Sofia. As a result of Levski's fiasco, on September 26, 1989, the popular European Sports Channel "Eurosport" began their evening UEFA match overview with Levski's game by referring to them as "the football idiots of Eurpope". On the following day, the French sports newspaper "L'Equipe" once again referred to Levski as the "Euroidiots" for their fiasco against Royal Antwerp. Most recently, the Spanish newspaper "El Mundo Deportivo" referred to Levski Sofia as "El Debil" before Levski's Europa League game with Villareal. "El Débil" is the Spanish translation of "The Idiots" - "El Villarreal se estrena ante el débil Levski" Following a series of disasters in the European football tournaments, various newspapers and sport websites in Bulgaria have continuously referred to Levski Sofia as the "Euroidiots". During 2008, Levski once again proved why they earned this nickname - to date, they are the only football team in the world that has lost two European qualifier games in a single year - against BATE Borisov and MSK Zilina. In September 2009, Levski got one even better - just a day before the important match with their Bulgarian rivals CSKA Sofia, they announced the sale of 4 first-team players to the Russian club Rubin Kazan. Levski duly flied the players to Russia to finalise the transfers only to find out that Rubin Kazan were totally unaware of these transfers. It all collapsed and the players returned to Sofia .... just in time to witness the 2-0 loss of Levski at the hands of CSKA Sofia. Notably, Levski's nickname has been uniformly accepted throughout the Bulgarian sport masses. For example, the Bulgarian media commonly refers to them as Euroidiots even in basketball games.''
I wonder how the French press will call it now that performance of PSG?! LOL
They were fantastic for 90, and terrible for 90. Barca pressed exceptionally well- but can you point to a proper clear chance made in the entire match? No 1v1, no crosses to unmarked players, no series of passses that completely opens the defence.
The Barca goals were the product of insane workrate (exemplified by the 2nd) and of PSG's inept defence (also exemplified by the 2nd) and terrible composure.
Do you remember when we beat you at OT 1-0 in the Semi-Final? That was a good defensive performance. Or Chelsea when they drew 2-2 at your place. Last night PSG were terrible. You don't concede 6 goals defending well.Did you not pay attention to the deep block defense PSG were set up in? There were not going to be passes to somehow unlock things for a clear chance because PSG tracked the runners exceptionally well. You intimate poor from PSG yet just as easy to conclude they did a fantastic job defending - both 1st half goals were down to creating a goal scoring chance out of sheer will, skill, luck etc.

And in a similar fashion, their workrate in the 1st leg was nonexistent, they looked like the had just had a scrimmage hours before the match - part of that was Emery & PSG but a lot of that was Barcelona. At Camp Nou, there was an intense battle trying to break the deep PSG defensive block to create chances for nearly 40 minutes between Suarez' opening goal and Iniesta's magic - it wasn't down to a lack of effort, hustle or workrate from either team. Truth is I was impressed at the battle being waged on the pitch for long streches when there was no scoring

OK so you outplayed United in 2008 and PSG were terrific last night. I don't think we need to continue this discusion. That team was in shambles and still outplayed United, IMO. This team has arguably more talent and faced a deeper defensive block than at OT
