who do you feckin think ?
We had a quickfire pop quiz at my gaffe yesterday, Legend or Bellend. Without a big explanation just insert one of these 2 words to the following non current Utd players, all in jest of course and no offense intended (looking at you Gabby). Also no grey area, there can be only one. Most are obvious but a few contentious ones.

Mark Hughes
Eric Cantona
Gabriel Heinze
Patrice Evra
Ryan Giggs
Fabian Barthez
Peter Schmeichel
David Beckham
Cristiano Ronaldo
Wayne Rooney
William Prunier
Gary Neville
Rio Ferdinand
Roy Keane

Are people saying Giggs isn’t a club legend because of his trial? (he’s not been found guilty of anything as yet by the way)

Probably because he spent decades shagging his own brother’s wife behind his back and has proven himself to be a pretty odious person prior to the DA and controlling and coercive behaviour allegations

I think his brother would have something to say about this. Bellend for me.

Am I the only one, who came to see what will people write next to Ronaldo after all that happened ?

Criminal stuff aside, a guy sleeping with his brother's wife is almost insurmountably bellend material

Why so many calling sparky a bellend?

Man City and him generally coming across as quite bitter when we played his teams. I’m slightly to young to remember him playing for us and even I’d have to say he’s a legend. Everything I’ve heard in interviews since he left Man City have been pretty positive about the club. And you don’t score twice in a European final and not become a legend.

I’d argue this is silly and you can definitely be a legend of the football club, whilst still being a bellend.

I can only guess that you've listed Evra and Neville as "bellends" because of their off field antics after their playing careers at United were over.. in which case, how the hell does a low life like Ryan Giggs get a legend status? Less controversial Ronaldo? Again, on the field absolutely, off field antics? Nope.

Evra was a mistake and legend, I re-wrote a number of players.

neville was pretty average in my opinion and not on the level of Rio or vidic. His post united comments and posts annoy the heck out or me as well but that isn’t the reason.

ronaldo -I’ve commented on many threads now I dislike the bloke , what he did this year is shocking etc. but look at his numbers when he was here and how can you not call him a legend?

All legends for me bar Barthez who was poor and Prunier who was non existent. I think Heinze was excellent in his time here, he never went to liverpool....Ince did and he remaains a legend for me.

Ronaldo didnt do himself any favours the last six m onths here.....but labelling him a bell end, personality wise can get it, but bar 3months he was a fantastic player here, 100% a legend

I think there’s very few of you that wouldn’t regard Neville a legend but then regard Ronaldo a legend.

Each to their own but more than numbers are considered for legendary status. Now Ronaldo is definitely a legend of football and Madrid of course.

Mark Hughes Bellend
Eric Cantona Legend
Gabriel Heinze Bellend
Patrice Evra Legend
Ryan Giggs Bellend
Fabian Barthez Legend
Peter Schmeical Legend
David Beckham Legend
Cristiano Ronaldo Bellend
Wayne Rooney Legend
William Prunier King Of all Bellends

Caveat
Beckham edges legend but Qatar stuff is a blot on copybook
Giggs off the field behaviour edges him towards the bell end
Hughes was great on the field but City manager time edges him to the bell
Barthez is meh but didn’t do much wrong to us
Ronaldo has deliberately made himself a bellend

that would be a contentious one, he managed City and was really annoying for a while, he is a bit like Ronaldo though in that time will be a great healer, i personally still have him as a playing legend.

Apologies and fixed, I do find that annoying too so I have no excuse.

There's no way Mark Hughes isn't a legend. I can only assume its the younger people saying he isn't.

it is amazing the way different generations view the same thing, for some they only remember him as that irritating City manager. My 13yo told me over Christmas that he hated Indiana Jones !!! I was stunned as it is almost mythical to me but i blame feckin Crystal Skull for his 'mistake'.

What's quite clear to me is that this forum has a lot of Bellends on it!
