Laurence Fox feat. Elvis

Surprised this cretin is anti-Iraq war. But yea, I feel like this thread is giving an irrelevant nobody too much airtime.

Going to start a thread about @John0273999283621 who thinks antifa caused the Holocaust.

It's a perverse interest at this point to see what bollocks he is spouting.
Between him and Grimes your Twitter feed must be a real blood boiler

trump retrospectively became anti-war, about a year after the war and a year before mostly everyone came around against it. this guy might be similar.

I imagine Laurence position on this would change immdiately if footballers made a gesture to end lockdown and vaccinepassports.

This stuff really pisses me off. As someone whose job revolves around preserving and interpreting the history of football, I can say without doubt that politics and football have been intertwined since the 1860s.

Yet another example of these right wing populist idiots yearning for an idyllic bygone time that never actually existed.

He's the sort of dopey cnut that should have to cut his pizza with a safety scissors, for fear he'll somehow decapitate himself.

The only thing keeping him relevant is the increasingly desperate attempts at garnering some/any sort of relevance, by his craven attempts to act as a lightning rod for the disaffected.

is he relevant, are people talking about him? Seems about as relevant as Alex Salmond. This is a guy who only got twice as many votes as a guy called Binface amd lost his £10k deposit.

Even if all traffic lights like that did was annoy people like Fox, they'd be a force for good in the world. More public infrastructure should be designed to irk obnoxious people.

Thing: non straight white people are ok
Fox: OH feck OFF

Makes you think.

The more the kneeling thing becomes an issue, I'm actually a bigger fan of it. I didn't like it before purely because of the timing of it originally post George Floyd, as I didn't think it was really relevant for British football to get involved with American political issues. But it's now evolved into a more appropriate/relevant message IMO, and it is a powerful gesture for the players to make, and becomes increasingly significant the more its perserved with in the face of criticism.

And this is coming from someone who is comfortably 'anti-woke' (or a Nazi, as nimic would refer to me). I suppose I'm just bloody contrarian and dislike any group think.

Probably the wrong thread as well but couldn't see a thread for general discussion on the topic. In order to hastily link this back to the topic of this thread, Mr Fox, I suppose the point I would make is that a lot of the people who become a figure head in the 'anti-woke' movement start off getting a following by opposing group think or opposing having the correct behaviour, thoughts, speech or beliefs dictated to them. There's a rebelliousness that is appealing to people, the idea of not being one of the "sheeple". But these figure heads usually get entrenched in their crusade, or reliant upon it for status, success or financial reward, and what starts off as a loose following of people intrigued by someone who says something perceived as being rebellious, soon morphs into a crowd which themselves shows no individual thought and blindly jumps onto whichever bandwagon their crowd is currently bemoaning or crusading against. Because there is no reason to boo taking the knee, its not rebellious to do so, its not opposing anything, other than professionals attempting to raise an important issue, and it achieves nothing other than upsetting or marginalising people of colour.

I’m quite pissed can someone explain the traffic light thing?
When it’s Green you are free to drive through.
When it’s Amber you should try to stop if you can do so safely.
When it’s Red you should stop, if you can’t stop safely then you were going too fast.

He got triggered by a pedestrian traffic light which had the green man symbol replaced by two female symbols (presumably celebrating pride month)

ah, that makes sense

I'm actually in London now for the first time in two years and was wondering what that was!
