I dont mind her music, but the fact shes got a worse overbite than Red Rum, and that she said she looks better in latex than the Pussy Cat Dolls means I will never give her the time of day. Akon's music is woeful, I have the bad luck of having a friend who is a fan and in all honesty his music is truelly offensive, he makes the kind of tunes that you have to put up with teenage chavs playing through distorted speakers on the train.
Lady Gaga my little sister likes so I've heard more than one tune, I can't see how anything in her music would make her stand out from any other pop record as a beacon of Akon influenced genius.
I wasn't particularly aware of the others but from a little youtube investigation they don't seem to be any different or standout.
If you're saying he is a genius because he has made a lot of money by finding a niche of idiots and kids to sell a product too then yeah I'd probably agree, although I'm not sure how much of an impact he has on the marketing side of things which are vital in the careers of someone like Lady Gaga. However if you're saying he is a musical genius then you will need to find me some actual proof as I hear nothing more than bland tosh.

2) He has 100% to do with the marketing, as well as Melvin Brown who he co-found the record label with... he also jump started Rhianna unlike the majority of mass opinion it was Jay-Z & Def Jam, she was co-signed to Konvict for her first album and she toured exclusively with him before Jay-Z & co made her an offer she couldn't refuse.
He has a 100% impact on marketing, he tours with his artists he signs and is the main producer / executive producer for their albums.
Lady Gaga writes her own songs, and influences a lot of creativity in her music videos so I think she's a bit more talented than most of the pop singers out there. Her songs are mostly dance tracks but she's really just started getting into the scene these past months.
The thing I like most about her is that, like me, she is obsessed with 70s and 80s culture, heavily influenced by The Beatles and esp John Lennon (the peace sign thing she always does with two fingers), Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, etc. I find that very refreshing in the current batch of so called hip artists.
