La Liga/Serie A/Bundesliga Draft

I prob would have forced him down Aldo's throat had he been available to us. There goes Lucio as well. Go ahead, lick my tears, twats. :wenger:

I concur with my fellow manager. Yaya Toure and Falcao are both fine additions to our team. I've already started to bake a massive cake for Yaya's birthday.

Savicevic what a player  :(

Probably the stand-out so far in the "why wasn't he blocked?" category. Other than old Pavel, that is.

Then again, as mentioned before, there aren't many players in the "why was he blocked?" category as it stands. But I could definitely come up with a couple I'd replace with the two mentioned.

Kaka!

You'd never heard of Buchwald??!?!?

Said earlier that my football knowledge when it comes to old players is very poor when it comes to you guys. That's why look to pick mainly current or recently retired.

I have no idea who he is either. Think he is supposed to be a legendary german or italian defender, but clueless about playing style, etc.
Really? 90 wc. Did a great job man marking maradona. One of the best players in the tournament.

Destroying Utd might have something to do with it. I rate him.
That was one of the finest performances vs us. Possibly 2nd only to Ronaldo's hattrick

Aye, I only learned about the bloke from research in a past draft. Fine defender

You guys never liked Kaka? :wenger: Can't think of a reason why to be honest

Plenty of reasons to never really like him, which is the case here. I don't positively dislike him, just find him a bit bland. Nice, clean looking lad, but not much of an edge to him. As a player, he was brilliant for a spell, but he never really captivated me with his style of play either. Just one of those things, I guess. There are loads of players I don't really like for some reason or other.

Also, the autocorrect/censoring function round here is bizarre: Put the "dis" in dislike in cursive, and it comes out "***like".

No - hang on - it's worse than that: dis in itself gets censored.

What happens if we sign a player called Dis-***?

(Which is a real name, make no mistake).

They're setting themselves up for major trouble here.

Wow that's odd to hear. For one he was really decisive player in his (agreed short) prime but so can be said for Ronaldinho as well. I really liked his style, very smart elegant player, blistering pace in him and great technique and vision.

The United performace is well known but in 2005 final against Pool IMO it was equally magnificent. He tore them a new one and was the architect behind every move in that game. And that pass for the 3rd

I'll be here for 3-4 hrs at least if you guys want to leave your picks.

I'll be on until 5 a.m. GMT, so you guys can leave your picks with me.

Amongst the other greats who played off the striker, Kaka was a different beast. He primarily made the difference through his sheer burst of acceleration that very few could live with. Hence why he fell off a cliff after injury robbed him of that physical edge during his latter days at Milan. That's not to underestimate his ability on the ball, espdcislly in his finishing and final pass, which were often game-changing. But all the other 9.5s and 10s of that calibre - and particularly the Brazilians whose mantle he took in the mid-2000s - stood out because of their technical or cerebral gifts first and foremost.
