La Liga 2017/18

Bale should only have about 16.7 yellow cards today.

I've accepted that I will never understand how he is so highly rated.
The same. People mentioned 'passion, leadership, scoring goals' just to deflect for his abysmal defending.

Someone even suggested he's in the running for Ballon d'or, if Madrid win the CL.

Because he’s a good defender with exceptional leadership qualities. He’s come up big for them so many times. I hate the cnut, and sometimes he looks an accident waiting to happen, but he really is a true captain.
True. Probably the player who embodies the best who it means to be a captain

Head to head superiority established for another season. :D

45 minutes with 10 men and they still can't beat us.

In La Liga, we are their daddy.

Zidane has a decision to make on who starts the CL final alongside Benzema and Ronaldo. Asensio's good but still raw in decision making, Bale's still very good in decision making and finishing but has lot a yard of pace. I'd be tempted to start with Asensio and bring Bale on as a sub.

I think Isco will most likely start if he's fit by then

Referee absolutely dreadful. Good game overall. I hope taking off Ronaldo was just a precaution.

Is Isco out of the game ?

It’ll most probably be Isco, imo. Sacrifice a bit in attack to gain control of the game against Pool?

Hope Barcelona avoid defeats in their next two games. Their league performance this year has to be one of the most underrated seasons ever.

Let's put the inevitable question : If Barca win the league undefeated + Cup, and Madrid won their 3rd CL in a row, which team would their fans be happier ? :D

What is this allez allez allez chant that has taken over football? My ears have had enough already.

Bale as a sub is a good idea.

Real robbed of a genuine penalty and Suarez fouled Varane in the build up to the Messi goal.

Conspiracy confirmed.

And bale should’ve been sent off. To not get a card on that Umtiti tackle was downright laughable.

Fair result, proud of barca to hang in there despite being down a man.

Messi is amazing.

Can we have more dead rubber classicos? That was horrific refereeing but absolutely mental!

I'm just happy to watch them like today, trying like this is a final, and Ronaldo standing on the sideways to see if they break our invicible season.

After that, everyone might have their bias for which season was better, but today at least showed they surely are bothered by our great season local-wise.

Barca's clearly onside goal given offside, Bale stonewall redcard, Marcelo going down like he'd been hit by Joshua for the red. Ref was equally shite for both teams and completely lost the game.

Same as 2016.

Going undefeated is a nice feat but they've had a lot of better league campaigns than this. If the ref calls the penalty on Marcelo they shouldn't be rated any lower than they will be now.

I see Suarez still dies 3 times a game and gets resurrected instantly

Quite evident it would be real's fans. Because a CL-title > whatever other title in Europe, no matter how a league is won. Barca are used to winning La Liga. A season where they don't get passed QF in CL is almost enough to kick the coach out, unless that coach wins the league to save his job. And it is the same with Bayern; they won the Bundesliga, yet the season ending is still a bit bitter because they should have gone through to the CL final.
Or Juve, for similar reasons.

They win the league, but it is never as sweet as getting your hands on the CL trophy.

In fact, for Barca, snatching the league in the last second from Real's hands would be sweeter, than winning it 2-3 gameweeks ahead - and yet, still not sweeter than winning the CL.

Entertaining game, but with everything decided is not the same. Barcelona was celebrating during the week, they looked tired.
In any case, a good result to face the final with a good mood. The referee ... very usual in la liga, and I guess everywhere. A decision against the home team in one play so he will omit the next, to compensate.
The worst thing is that Cristiano has a slight ankle sprain.
