It's after watching something like that, that I just don't get why some people say Ronaldo is better. As a previous poster said - what Messi does goes beyond stats. It's magic!

Best league in the world and will be for sometime

Sampaoli revealed today that Kolodjz...I honestly can't spell his name, let's call him Kolo, will be have to move on. So Kolo will probably be sold in January. He suggested that the squad urgently needs another central defender (because Carrico is injured) and a proper striker. He has suggested couple of names to the board, so now Monchi won't get any rest.

I think Sampaoli is right on:drool: We need another CB, and most importantly, another striker. Couldn't have been more content with Sampaoli's press conference.

Do you want Gabriel from Arsenal? ;) He was good at Villareal :D. Apart from joke, which names are you following?

@Santi_Mesut_Alexis_87 Haha, I actually wouldn't mind him. If Carrico, the former QPR (or was it Reading?) player is doing ok, or if Nasri can get his head straight, then Gabriel could work quite well too. :wenger: Speaking of former PL players, if somebody would have told me that Stoke's N'Zonzi would be the star in a good Sevilla side, I'd be upset and take it as an insult. But he has been so good that Barcelona will get him this summer, and all the jokes of Sevilla being Barcelona B will come to live...again. Maybe righteously so. Anyway, I guess some players excell further in the correct environment, or if they are socially happy, which N'Zonzi, Carrico, Nasri, Kanouté or Fabiano are great examples of. I believe Gabriel would not be worse than Kolo:D

I have no idea what players that are rumoured (except Bacca), though I have not read any papers or scanned the media after Sampaoli's press conference. I was so excited that Sevilla's aim is to sign players in January, that it is good enough for me:lol: I have not been eager to read about rumours after that.

I think N'Zonzi is going to Juventus. The fact is that he played for Stoke, not exactly the most entertraining team in the world :D

N'Zonzi was clearly the best player for a team that regularly finished upper mid-table and was coming into his prime, I don't think it was that unexpected as long as he has the time and patience to settle in. Point taken though, Sevilla have a habit of getting that extra 10% more from their players.

Is it new year's eve? Is he celebrating a title? No, it's dani parejo two days before a big match

Not only Sevilla, I only took those players as an example on top of my head:angel: Obviously, there are lot of examples of players of other teams, that excelled or regressed in quality, depending on their environment or social state at the club, at the city they have to live in, and so forth.

Considering N'Zonzi, I probably came off as a douchebag, I apologise for that. My premiss is that the biggest star in Sevilla usually leads to being signed by a club such as Bayern/Real Madrid/Barcelona/Juventus kind of quality and reputation. So hear me out; I would have taken it as an insult because Stoke is usually the last resort for players who are injury prone and who have been rejected too many times, such as Bojan, Afellay, Adam, Shaquiri, etc. Being 27 years old and the best player of Stoke - and being chased by Juventus or Barcelona - are two completely different lanes. I thought N'Zonzi's first season in Sevilla was as expected; having trouble with his first touch, seemed out of pace in dangerous situations, and looked small in Krychowiak's shadow.

Yet, after this autumn, it is safe to say that Sevilla's season in upcoming spring is completely dependent on N'Zonzi not getting injured. I would have never imagined it, even if I imagined him to improve, I never saw this much improvement happening:)

@Santi_Mesut_Alexis_87 Yeah, I heard something about N'Zonzi leaving for Juventus already in January. I find that unbelivable. :wenger:

I read the man who was with him abused Prandelli's wife (he died from a cancer some years ago) and Parejo didn't give a feck about it.

@SfcNervion, maybe in the summer, but now in january, with the Champions League coming up.

Read that Catalonia will most probably be independent by 2018 and that would mean la liga without Barca, what will happen to Spanish football if this happens and what will happen to Barca? I read that they could join the premier league instead of the French league.

Highly unlikely.

Would it be much different from Monaco being in the French league

Spanish restrictions are different, only the basque clubs are allowed, I'm sorry for bringing this topic up again, I'm sure this would have been discussed in detail already but I couldn't find it.

Not that long ago, a Spanish prime minister was quoted saying Barca would have to leave Spanish football, This could end up instigating a European super league.
I doubt Catalonia will be independent by 2018. Perhaps later but definitely not 'most probably' by 2018.

Now in Marca the final of la liga promises, a very traditional christmas trophy among kids (Iniesta was best player years ago).I always find it really entertaining.

edit: Barça are crashing Atlético

Yep, they trashed Atlético 6-1 in the final after dumping RM 2-0 in the semifinals - 6th time they've won the competition. Xavier Planas and Gavi two standout performers in the tournament

Meanwhile, the Valencia debacle continues - Prandelli resigning making him the 6th coaching change in just over 12 months with Peter Lim?? Insanity. Munir's move there even more illogical now, hope Oscar Garcia doesn't consider that as an option

I'm sure something could be worked out. Whether anyone would do so in the heat of independence is maybe less likely.

Monaco, though, has had a close and mostly friendly relationship with France for centuries. The Prince of Monaco was a Prince etranger at the French court, France is responsible for the defence of Monaco, until 2002 the Principality could have become a part France if there'd been no heir.

Plus you could fit the whole of the population of Monaco into one district of Barcelona.

Marca/as write that he leaves because he couldn't get 5 signings that had demanded due to the FFP.
Now even Kempes is blaming Lim and Mendes in Twitter.
What do mean naming Óscar García? Óscar García Junyent? The former player?

Oscar Garcia the former Barcelona coach, he recently was linked to the Malaga job before Marcelo got it and with a vacancy now at a club like Valencia it would be a pity were he to consider it

There is only one guy who has consistently done well for them in recent years. Let Voro win 3 of the next 4 games, hire someone for the next 3, sack him, another 4 games with Voro, hire someone else, rinse and repeat. Then in the summer tear everything down and begin from scratch

I think that Voro doesn't want to be permanent coach.Probably he wants to avoid to be sacked :D

Denis Suarez is a promising player but he's not what he is hyped up to be, neither is Andre Gomez. My biggest worry is that we have too much faith in our own youth players. Part of the reason Denis gets so much hype is because he was a member of La Masia for like one season. Sergi Roberto is not a proper replacement for Dani Alves no matter how much our fans want him to be, and Lucho needs to get over his childish grudge against Aleix Vidal for the sake of the team.

I'm worried about the future of this club without Iniesta. In the game against Real, we looked hopeless in midfield in the first half. Then when Andres came on, we gained total control of Madrid. Even if we had unlimited funds and could sign anyone we wanted, we'd still be in trouble because there is no other player like Andres out there. He is unique and a once in a generation talent. I wish we signed Pogba. :annoyed: Dybala is a wonderful player but he does not give us anything new to the team like Pogba would.

Sorry for my negativity but I had to vent somewhere.

Now imagine a midfield of kroos-modric-pogba

That's two of us :(
