When he opened the space in the 1v1 vs Carvajal, his ego took over and he just thought about smashing the ball.
How can you not score there? Just a little composure and it's game over. He did the hard work and then just messed it all up.

How does Ramos do it in almost every big game? Biggest winner of his era.

Very strange game. We were in control, then suarez scores out of nowhere and from there they took over and absolutely toyed with us. Missed their chances to kill the game off, and then Sergio Providence Ramos strikes

Also, Iniesta is magic. There's one player who actually was overshadowed by the teams he played in. Had he played for madrid, we might well be speaking of him in the same breath as zidane, or at least very close to it.

Agreed on Iniesta. Wonderful player.

I believe Zizou is at 30 concecutive games without loss. He is such a king.

However, if Benze was not a frenchmen... Just like a gato, he got 9 lives. Surely he should be put aside now.

In terms of influencing matches, I think he's overshadowed Zidane.

Seriously, as a CB he's a liability half the time, but you know he's gonna make a difference in the big games at the other hand so you forgive him :D

Benzema was french for a long time before Zizou took over, although I agree he's been very bad this season. Unfortunately for Real and fortunately for him, Morata got injured as he was getting some good form.

Already think he's been a better player than Zidane.

Lots of people here who don't remember Zidane. Zidane was Iniesta AND Xavi mixed into one

Yeah, and I don't think he's ever really been overshadowed by either Messi or Xavi. Arguably, he's stood even taller than all of them at the big moments with his world cup final goal, man of the match performances in CL finals and European Cup finals.

He wasn't overshadowed by Messi and Xavi. Because he played with them, he never had to do as much as Zidane, even though he might have been able to

Yep. Watched pretty much every game he's played for club since his move to juventus and every game he's played for France at WC/euros

And it was a broad comparison, in the sense that zidane combined xavi's ability to control and run games with iniesta's ability to rip defences to shreds

Also don't get all the criticism on neymar. yeah he missed a sitter, but he created that chance himself and was by far barcelon's most dangerous player

Wow, he was nothing like them. Specially nothing like Xavi at all.
Broad comparison. If you want to get specific, he was more similar to pirlo, but playing 20-30 meters higher up on the pitch and with a far better ability to rip defences open in the final third, and a greater goalscoring threat
