I'll be disappointed if that happens. Something like that deserves to be watched live in HD on big telly, not a scruffy ad-strewn stream that freezes every time anything exciting happens. So, on that basis, I'll go for a cagey, uninspired 0-0. Perhaps Suarez to miss a sitter in the 93rd minute to round it off.

Not everyone is stuck on an island with a saturday football black-out :wenger:

hmm. Good question. Madrid winning on Saturday would make the title race a bit boring, but if I’d have to choose between Barca and Real winning the league, I’d prefer Real (Sevilla/Atletico/Villarreal would be even better, but that looks rather unlikely this season). So I don’t really have a strong preference. A 4:4 draw with Pepe, Ramos, Ronaldo, Alba, Busquet, Suarez, Mascherano and ter Stegen getting sent off would be fun.
Good decision Pedro.I see a 1-2,goal of Mariano coming from the bench.
Don't mistake me being driven to fury by a Barca fan (one of those Guardiola generation zealots with no memory of earlier years) who I used to work with, with me being a Madridista
Haha, nice alibi jojojo, maybe It was simply your heart showing you the true path :D:

Heh. The 6-2 gets a lot of attention as a sort of mythological performance because it was real madrid-barcelona, at the bernabeu. In truth, that was a mediocre real madrid side(embarassed by liverpool in the CL) against an elite barcelona side. Name can mean a lot, especially when it's real madrid, and the clasico is such a unique game, it's basically a derby on crack. But still, mediocre side versus Top 10/15 side in history? It wasn't that incredible. The 5-0 was far more incredible, even though it was mostly on mourinho's head. (BTW 2010-11 real madrid would have smashed 2008-09 barcelona)

Disappointed it's on so early. I prefer the clasico under the floodlights - it just adds to the atmosphere. On the plus side, it keeps in line with the matches I want to watch today which is nice. First City-Chelsea, then this, then Leipzig. Not a bad day of footy at all!

I've got Barcelona in my league winners acca along with RB Leipzig, Chelsea, Nice, Benfica, Feyenoord and others but they seem to be a bit hit and miss this season. I reckon Real will do 'em 2-1 or 3-1.

Simply must win for us tonight at Camp Nou. Lose, and it's going to be very difficult to win a third straight title. If we can't win the league, I'd love to see Sevilla take out the title.

Our midfield freaking sucks without Iniesta, we look so disjointed without him. I would be amazed if we walked away from this game with 3 points. And although I'd be happy with a draw, realistically we need to win to keep the title fight alive.

Why did they have to schedule this same time as Chelsea-City. I wanted to watch both matches live without having to use two screens. PL should have had Chelsea-City in the later time slot instead of one of those lower table dross matches.

It doesn't clash with Chelsea City.

It clashes with West Ham vs Arsenal.

You're right that it doesn't clash with Chelsea-City so thanks :) but it doesn't clash with Arsenal-West Ham either. Maybe we both drunk hah

A curiosity before el clásico. From what I read I guess you are neutral but, what do you prefer? Madrid or Barça? @prarek , @Skorenzy , @PedroMendez? . @jojojo , you can answer too, but I think that you are madridista :p. What about the rest of posters ?

Yes,It´s a good idea. Do it yourself. I would do it but I do not trust my English much to start a thread

Don't care either way, as long as it's an entertaining game. Unfortunately I won't be able to watch it so I'll have to dl it tonight and hope it's not a drab 0-0 eh...

For the interest of the title race a Barça win would be good; but I don't see RM losing as they've been very structured under Zidane and at their best level in the big games in a long time.

@Vato hmm, I guess you could say I'm more culé than merengue, which are some horrible nicknames by the way and not something I plan on calling myself ever again after this, but let's just say that my happiness doesn't depend on the outcome like yours does. :D

Actually blood is blue it only turns red when it hits oxygen :wenger:

Surely Real were bound to win the league at some moment, they have won 1 in the last 7 or 8 years? Zidane doing a good job.

No Bale and Kroos is a big blow for Real. They've been two of their best players this season. Still, I'd put my money on a draw.

Actually, scratch that last part. I have a feeling Barca will win.

Tempted to back Real.

If Madrid win it's a very tall ask for Barca to win La Liga.

Interesting that they've scheduled this to start so early -- clearly understanding the need to branch out to Asian markets with their showpiece schedule. I get why they're doing it, but can't help hating the fact the club game I most look forward to seeing won't be played under the floodlights. I always thought that added something to the atmosphere of the thing. Big Spanish fixtures should always be played when it's dark imo.

No. You can't broadcast live football between 14:45 and 17:15 on a Saturday in the UK.
That is so ridiculous. What's the reason for this?

I'd be fecking livid if I paid for a sports package and had to miss a game of this magnitude because of this silly rule.

It's been in place since the 1960s. The thinking behind it was showing Man United v Liverpool (or whoever) for free on TV would hurt the attendances at games around the country.

Christ! And it's still in place in this day and age?!

Reckon it will be a draw or a Madrid win. Barca are struggling.

It will be a draw for me. Barca will elevate their game but their midfield is a bit too weak at the moment.
Cannot wait for this shit to be over, they have been boring us with the ad for this match for weeks now. Let's get it over with.
