Apparently Sporting are signing Cristiano Piccini from Betis. Is he any good?
What? It must be shit, I never heard nothing about him, if it was chosen by Jesus must be shit.

It's the typical tall Jesus rightback. I had never heard of him either but I'm hoping he's good enough, if we buy a bunch of crap players in the summer we're doomed

I also heard about Coentrao, despite his past in Benfica. Good player when he takes it seriously, which is quite unusual

Ok I never watched a game of this guy, but from what I have been checking standard Jesus choice, 1,89, same age as William, nothing of oustanding this season at Betis, but to be fair he is injured since April.

Ok is italian, but the problem is even his last seasons at Betis he never was playing every match, so my only hope is that maybe he is better than Schelotto, but even my dog can be better than him

I do not expect him to be at the same level as Nelson Semedo or Maxi just to mention these 2.

I wouldn't take him even if you paid us to do so. He's 29, has high wages and he's injured 99% of the season. And there's the whole Benfica thing too.

It was a 'fair' price at that moment, when you adjust inflation I think Zidane is actually the most expensive signing ever but the difference is something marginal, and is practically the same. Bale transfer is also on par with Ronaldo and Zidane's transfer although I do consider Bale was overpriced.
@Acheron @Phil Jones 79
Guys, I wasn't being serious. It was just a good ol' banter between me and the person who posted the pic in the first place.:)

Today finally the match for la liga.
I think that Madrid will play with the team A.
Celta don't have any motivations in la liga but according to the press Barsa will give them més que 3 million reasons to beat us

Should they prevail, another robbery for the title

Celta took Real out of the cup, nearly got a draw at the Bernabeu and beat Barça in the league. Considering how they played at Old Trafford I thought here would be the last place where I saw people underestimating them. Guidetti is decent and Aspas has been doing wonders at Celta...

Thank you:) But there's no hesitation that lot of the hate is based on Aspas background in Liverpool and Guidetti making sure Bailly being sent off in a typical south European manner (he has adapted well in Spain:lol:;)).Although, Guidetti has fuled a lot of unnecessary heat prior to the game at Old Trafford, which he has to pay for after missing those 2-3 chances; he has to choke on it now (at Red Cafe), that I can understand.

Easy for Real today.

I don't think so, It will close and it will be a tough game for Madrid. Celta has a good manager in Berizzo and the players will be fired up to spoil the party for Madrid. Plus, the lack of Nacho and Carvajal will hurt Real. Danilo is big weak link in that defense.

He's present. Seems they left the suspension.

I reckon they'll draw tonight and win against Malaga.

Win tonight and it's all over, really don't see them losing in Malaga.

Is this even legal?

Is this even legal?

I think it's a bit of a legal gray area in Spain. Paying someone to lose is definitely illegal, but to win is something else. But I don't know exactly how it happens. I remember some years ago some club that got a local butcher to offer 25 legs of the finest Ibérico ham to someone if they won the game

I'd happily jambon that wagon.

Must be, RM have done it for years

And Barcelona doesn't? I guess you weren't a Barça fan when Real Madrid lost the league twice with the Tenerife games. Tenerife players also recieved "incentives" and their President even got an "insignia" from Nunez and an invite for the Juan Gamper. What about Barcelona's "incentives" for Valência to beat Deportivo? I´m sure @carvajal can enlighten the forum about that episode. This houlier than thou attitude from Barça fans is laughable. Your club had Nunez (a convicted crook) and Rosell as Presidents :wenger: Both clubs use this kind of tactics. No one has moral superiority.

2 good examples.Tenerife got 21m pesetas in 91/91.Actually Milla reported that a Barsa player offered him 40m pesetas to score an own goal.
About Valencia, the celebration of González,Valencia's keeper is still remembered

Laporta a crook as well. Stealing money from the club and so forth. But you should be aware that all barca fans aren't as delusional, to think that everytime they don't win - then it is a set up. The only club that hasn't been punished for boicotting a copa del rey game, the club that has not been punished for the pig incident, the club with record amount of penalties, and the only club that has not been given penalty against for almost 2 years. Yes, they are the victims...

I'll be honest the one that bothered the most was the Deportivo one. Real Madrid has such a rich history and an incredible number of league wins, so one or two league less it isn't a big deal. But regarding Deportivo (a club almost every portuguese person simpathizes) it felt really bad. Not even when Figo was at Barcelona i could root for them because of that.

How does Nacho's yellow card just get canceled like that? Meanwhile Neymar got 3 games for clapping.
