He's truly a beast in the air, the way he carries himself and strikes the ball is just savage. When he plays for Spain everyone should just be looking for him in the box.

Also Toni Kroos deserves some credit as well for putting all thos excellent crosses and passes for him, they've been carrying us this season.

Is there a better corner taker in the world than Toni Kroos? Helps that he has Ronaldo, Ramos, Bale etc to aim for, but most players struggle beating the first man, Kroos plonks it in the mixer time and time again.
Can't think of anyone better at set pieces. He's got an extremely high percentage of perfect deliveries.

Possible to have Madrid 65 points in 27 games against 60 for Barcelona

Madrid will lose in Bilbao next weekend and won't do anything with their game in hand. They don't look anywhere near good enough to win a Clasico either.

Barcelona have been poor at times, but on Wednesday they showed what they can do - when gave Madrid been at all convincing recently?

I still think Barca will come out on top. Madrid are horrible at the moment.
They're dreadful. One of the worst sides in football to watch. Like 90% of their goals this season have been from penalties or crosses.

If Madrid are horrible at the moment, I can't possibly imagine what Barca is then right now, losing to relegation teams is just unacceptable for Barca but yet somehow they keep dropping points. They may have "moments" but the holes are there for all to see. Not saying the won't come out on top, but for me, Real are more likely to finish top, but then again, that's just my irrelevant view of things :)

Keylor Navas redeems himself for avoiding red card early in the game. #respect

If any Barcelona have been as poor, if not more, than Real Madrid; in fact Real Madrid looked much better in the last clásico and were closer to win, it only changed the game when Iniesta entered that game but still Madrid managed to come back and draw. Barcelona weren't too convincing to me on Wednesday, at still as a team they didn't looked any different and as Real Madrid they currently depend a lot of individual good performances by their forwards. So the way I see it they don't look more solid as a team than Real Madrid this season.

Was funny. Would betis have scored if we went down to 10 men? I mean, you know the superhero was going to score no matter what, so given their goal was an own goal by keylor

Well done Keylor, that's how you shut your critics up. Real Madrid win 2-1 FT to move top of the table with a game in hand. As unconvincing as Real Madrid is recently, I still think they will win the league. Barca league form is as inconsistent as Real Madrid and Real Madrid seems to have that hunger and desire to want to win La Liga more than Barca, just like how they won La Decima that season.

I don't know. I don't care tbf, but I bet Betis would take the red card early in the game if you asked them.

When a referee performance is the talk of the night it makes the bolded part of your post really pointless.

Barca has also showed how badly they can capitulate when the going gets tough. Can you imagine Real Madrid losing 0-4 to PSG away? I can't.

Heh, i don't know. I think they've been better than us, the difference between us and them this season are the refs honestly. Lots of games were they didn't play well but the refs screwed them over(malaga, betis, villarreal). Lots of games were we played badly and the refs bailed us out(villarreal, las palmas...)

If I was Real Madrid, I would never take Ramos the US. The Yanks might treat that head of his as a WMD and stick him in jail.

Yeah, the narrative again

You won't rant today, even when Marca are calling for a red card (Keylor) and a penalty (Carvajal) with Barcelona losing thanks to a corner that wasn't a corner. Be a man, we won't cry after today, do the same when things happen to go the other way

Ugghhh I saw the Sergio Ramos thread being updated so I knew already that the son of a bitch had scored. League is Madrid's, we falter far too much and even though they don't look convincing themselves I just don't trust Barcelona to have the consistency.

I remember also games when they were bailed out by bad referee decisions but the fact that Luis Enrique has announced his reassignment not so long ago tells you how displeased they are with thir performances and their squad. We also had a ton of bad luck with the pending games and all the injuries at the beginning of the season so I really think as poor and disjointed we've been as a team Barcelona have struggled as much as us to row some solid performances. They're still very dangerous with that front three and could overtake us but I think we have good chances and they're still stuck up with Luis Enrique and André Gomés, so that gives me hope as well.

It's not about that. He is using the PSG game as argument. If you think it was a 6:1 performance then we're living in different worlds.

Hmmm...debatable look at before the PSG game, Barca were an absolute mess and inconsistent as hell. Think it could go to the wire.

Tbh the game should've been over with that disallowed Ronaldo goal anyway...However the Navas decision will be the one that's going to make headlines. Overall another cluster feck of a performance by the officials.

Just because Barcelona dressed as Real Madrid that day it doesn't diminish the performance. Neymar was superb and the team made the best of their chances, pointing at the ref in a 6:1 performance seems even worse
