Yeah I've seen this many times. Cheeky 1-0 Madrid second half win.

Yet when it comes to winning the Champions League they show one of their worst versions. They probably would change some of their better displays (Cup final, the league thrashing) for a 1-0 and a UCL title

When it comes to Simeone's Atletico you usually stretch them and create space.
We on the other hand have much more problems playing them.
Still I feel they play harder against Real.

As for the CL title, they never deserved to win it. Even the season when they won the league it was because the refs let them hack and kick their way to victory.
Late cynical challenges was their modus operandi but I guess the competition was good for the league so it was allowed.

Feck, Asenjo injured

This guy could've made it as a top GK in the world if it wasn't for his injuries

Asenjo kept playing after injuring himself didn't he? Hope it's nothing too bad.

Bale is dreadful in general play. Embarrassing that he's the best Britain has to offer.

Castillejo is inspired today. Does he have a grudge vs Madrid or something?

No need to remind me, both times they got to the final they crossed our path and left us out, basically if they get their way with the ref you won't see a football match, rather something different, it hurts our style a lot.

But regarding those UCL finals, they played like a lesser team, more worried about not losing than winning, I could understand that in the first without Costa and Arda I think, but last year it was an experienced team that should've been considered one of Europe's finest and they still started the game scared. They can make it into a dozen more finals, if they keep that attitude they may never win one.

Have to say this Madrid team looks rather unimpressive away from home. Drew vs Las Palmas, drew vs Barca, lost vs Sevilla, and lost to Valencia. Now with problems against Villareal. Only great game for them in a tough away game was on Calderon.

Well, let's see if Zidane reacts.I would go with Morata and Isco.
According to the radio Asenjo's knee doesn't look good. Not confirmed yet but It would be his 4th cruciate ligament injury.

Bale returns and Madrid's League season goes up in flames. 2nd time in 3 years.

Are Madrid about to throw away the league.. what's going on??

That's brutal. I can't remember a keeper suffering from so many serious injuries like he has.

Wow, did not see Villareal as a possesion team. Helps Madrid are just not pressuring at all.

The team really does need freshening up over the summer. No matter how strong you are you always need fresh blood
